I've recently tried a R/N Touch Build and I have to say it is working great in PvP arenas........
R/N
-12 blood
-16 expertise
Vampiric Touch
Touch Of Agony
Plauge Touch
Signet Of Agony
Throw Dirt
Whirling Defense
Escape<E>
Rez Signet
This build is pretty simple to use. First slap on Whirling D right before you enter into battle. When you come in contact with your enemy use signet of agony then plauge touch, then just spam touch of agony and vamparic touch. Use escape, throw dirt and whirling defense when needed.

I usually run, Touch of Agony, Vampiric touch, Plauge touch, Throw Dirt, Dodge, Offering of blood, Res Signet and a switch skill (switch cause it changes, but it's usually Whirling Defense.)
I don't like signet of agony, because between Touch of Agony and Vampiric touch, you shouldn't need another damage skill.

Hey! I saw you in arenas today on my mesmer (guy spamming diversion). I noticed alot of touch rangers make this common mistake thats pretty stupid but easily remidied: Don't start with vamp touch first, the health steal is wasted, if you're going to use OoB follow up with vamp touch fast, and pick your targets carefully, the last thing you need is to get in that hammer warrior's face then get blacked out by some r/me or mesmer

Much worse when you get hit with diversion, as you're casting Vampire touch. Without that one skill...the whole build breaks down. You need to guard it with you're life!

This is the almost exact same Touch Ranger I posted last nite. I didn't see this one before, weird. Except for Whirling Defense I added Troll Unguent. The Whirling Defense thing sucks because of a 60 second recharge. Escape already is your evade/speedboost, keep it that way. It's like putting Armor of Earth/Frost/Dolyak Signet in a warrior build, overkill =p
Nice build, heh we both have similar taste

offering of blood
blood renewal
vamp touch
touch of agony
whirling D
dodge
plague touch
res
you need OoB to make it run. you'll run out of energy and look like a fool with a noob build. i'd drop escape and take dodge. whirling d's cool down just sucks but i dont know what else to put in there. throw dirt's cool down sucks too. i stole this build from spura.

OoB? You don't need any more damn sacrificing or else you'll end up killing yourself like a fool with a noob build. Escape is an evade and speedboost in 1, why would you even consider taking it out? Plus the recharge on Whirl. D just blows.
Keep the build the way you had it, Monkey, just exchange something for Whirl. Defense. It's a garbage spell for PvP 4v4 if you can already make room for Escape {E}.

lol. or better yet monkey, try the build both ways and let us know what kind of success you have.
vamp touch gives you a heal every time you use it wretch. and blood renewal will keep your health on the rise. dodge takes care of speed buff. escape has a 30 second cooldown and it's elite.
i've seen your builds. be careful with the word noob.

i've seen your builds. be careful with the word noob. Haven't called anyone a noob, it was a comparison. Look, I understand where you are coming from but all that sac will kill you since you only have 2 healing skills and you constantly sacrifice life.
About my builds, yes alot of them suck but I haven't tested them. If you really pay attention to my posts I haven't had my own computer for like 6 months so no GW. I do get to play occasionally but not enough to unlock some elites and try my builds. I started early June and stopped at November so I'm sure I would have been 3 times better if I continued on. Most of my posted builds are just experiments with cirtain combos, don't be so quick to judge. I didn't judge your build, just saying it's alot of sacrifice and usually people aren't worried pounding on a R/N...

Good info here. Here's what I run:
Life Siphon
OoB
Vamp Touch
Touch of Agony
Vamp Gaze
Dodge
Throw Dirt
Res Sig
OoB is by far the best elite for the build. Just use it when you get below half energy and you won't run out.
Tactics:
-Life Siphon before engaging your target
-Vamp Touch, Touch of Agony, repeat
-Below half energy, OoB.
-If they flee they are probably out of LS by then, do it again and hit Vamp Gaze: death by degen. Or, Dodge then chase w/ Vamp Touch queued. If they stop to do ANYTHING, VT activates and then hit ToA. Dead.
-If heavy damage melee (W/*) comes after you, just Throw Dirt it. That 14-15 seconds should be enough to kill it while being unharmed.
Works GREAT for me. In any RA group I will get over half the kills myself most of the time. I've gone 7-0 kills against 2 min mark team in about 1 min and the whole team quit lol.

On my old Vampiric toucher this is what I used...The attributes are a bit hazy since I haven't played this build for 3 months.
Attributes:
Expertise - 10+1+3
Blood magic - 10
Wilderness Surivial - Rest
Vampiric Touch
Touch of Agony
Plague touch
Offering of Blood
Serpent's Quickness
Whirling Defense
Throw Dirt
Rez Sig
Serpent's Quickness is to recharge Vampiric Touch and Offering of Blood. If you encounter a warrior or ranger that is pressuring you, first use Throw Dirt. If that doesn't work then use Whirling Defense.

Without Escape {E} You can only depend on Whirling D. for Evade and that's bad enough, or Dodge for a speedboost. You need something to keep up with runners, even if they don't sprint because people will run from you all the time once they realize you're touch. Healing with Blood Renewal is good, Offering of Blood isn't that good. If you plan to use this just for 4v4 don't worry about energy all that much. Your most expensive skill will be like 5, if not lower. Or 10.
