Assassin/Mesmer: 6 conditions on foe + fragility

i'm new to this game. i've never played it before at all so i'm basically new to this whole build stuff. i basically focused on how i could use assassins skills. here is a build i came up with, but is not yet tested.

Assassin/Mesmer

Dagger Mastery- 16
Illusion Magic- 12
Deathly Arts- rest

Black Mantis Thrust (Dagger Mastery) 5 / 0 / 12
Lead Attack. If this attack hits, you strike for 5-17 damage. If target foe is suffering from a hex, that foe is crippled for 3-13 seconds.

Temple Strike (Dagger Mastery) 10 / 0 / 12
Elite Off-Hand Attack. Must follow a lead-attack. If this attack hits, target foe is interrupted, dazed, and blinded for 1-7 seconds.

Horn of the Ox (Dagger Mastery) 5 / 0 / 12
Dual Attack. Must follow an Off-Hand attack. If it hits, Horn of the Ox strikes for 3-13 damage. If struck foe is not adjacent to any allies, that foe is knocked down.

Falling Spider (Dagger Mastery) 5 / 0 / 10
Off-Hand Attack. Must strike a knocked down foe. If it hits, Falling Spider strikes for 5-29 damage and target foe is poisoned for 5-17 seconds.

Twisted Fangs (Dagger Mastery) 10 / 0 / 12
Dual Attack. Must follow an off-hand attack. If it hits, Twisted Fangs hits for 3-9 damage, and struck foe suffers from deep wound and bleeding for 5-17 seconds.

Fragility (Illusion Magic) 10 / 1 / 5
For 8-18 seconds, target foe takes 5-17 damage each time that foe suffers or recovers from a new condition.

Siphon Seed (Deathly Arts) 5 / 1 / 5
Hex Spell. For 5-13 seconds, target foes moves 15% slower and you move 15% faster.

Signet of Shadows (Deathly Arts) 0 / 1 / 30
Signet. Target foe takes 5-29 damage. If target was blinded, that foe suffers and additional 15-51 damage

How To Use:

first cast fragility and siphon seed. this will help you catch up to foe and the first condition would automatically trigger fragility. then go through the first five skills listed in order, using signet of shadows after temple strike. after doing this you should have:
--given the foe 6 conditions to worry about
--done about 180 damage in skill damage
--given the foe -7 health degeneration from poison and deep wound
-- done ALOT of damage with fragility
-- done some weapon damage

your opponent should be dead after doing this, or about dead.

my only problem is energy management.

please fix/comment this build.

There is one problem: time.

There is another problem: squishy melee character.

Time: Usually, when you attack a caster (hypothetically as an Assassin), it doesn't take the team long to react to your attacks. Therefore, 5 attacks + run-up time + Fragility (which will be removed in no time) + Siphon Speed + Signet of Shadows is a long time.

Squishy Melee Character: Since 70 AL is not a lot for a Melee character, ANet made teleports for Assassins, allowing them to teleport in/out of battle. The time you spend running is more than enough for the opposing team to kill you.

I'm presuming this is PvP.

Deep wound doesn't deal damage, but it does cut their health by 20%. Bleeding causes 3 degen, though.

I forgot another point; conditions, being easily removed, are not powerful at all. Deep Wound is, though.

Let's see your conditions:
Cripple: Good if you can ever get it out.
Dazed: One of the most powerful conditions around.
Blinded: Only needed when fighting Warriors...and Signet of Shadows is meh.
Poison: Meh. However, when stacked with Disease, it would be a threat-or something resembling one.
Deep Wound: The other very powerful condition.
Bleeding: Is negatable.

I use this build with an Ass/Me for the RA:

Try this build as this:
11+1+3 Dagger mastery
10+1 Shadow arts
10 Illusion

Equipment (really important):
Zealous daggers
Zodiacal armor (+ Energy)

Skills
Black Mantis thrust
Temple Strike (E)
Twisting fangs
Fragility
Lotus method
Death's charge
Return

Okay now the deal:
Use Fragility then Lotus method (to cover Frag) on a target. Death Charge on it, if you have low HP.
Link Black mantis thrust+Temple strike+ Twisting fangs. It will cost you 30 energy (so you really need this zodiacal armor and zealous mod). If things goes well you have made huge damage and put 5 conditions on your ennemy. If Lotus has not been removed while doing your death job, you've regained some energy. Stand next to your victim if she is still alive waiting warriors or retaliation while striking her to regain some more energy and try to finish the job. When retaliation comes, use return to come back next to your monk teammate.
When your attack skills are recharged, repeat.

4 weaknesses :

- no healing skills

- energy management ( as u said)

- no defensive skills(stances, runs-away-skills)

- when u pick 12 base attribute for 2 skills, u got only 5 attribute points left for deathly arts...(unless its runes, u forgot to mention)
