Fame is more relevant in factions with the addition of more pvp. (plus HA will just be more popular with more people playing)

Fame doesn't mean a thing in the new 12vs12. I'm not sure if there will be any other PvP arenas in Factions. So...

Fame is a product of the battle isles which is pretty much independant of either Tyria or Cantha so I see no reason why adding Factions would have any influence.

There's no HA or HoH or whatever in Factions. So, (and aside from the fact that fame is irrelevant regardless), it has no relevance in Factions. With the new PvP/PvE blends and the 12 v 12 awaiting us, plus the need to get faction for town control, you'll likely see a dramatic decrease in people battling for favor of the gods when favor of the alliance is so much fresher and dramatically more impacting on the game.

If you want to look at it like that, there's no HA or HoH in Prophecies either. It was moved to the Battle Isles, which are chapter independent. How do you know favor won't do anything in Factions?

People won't care who has favor in Factions. Why should they? It's about how your alliance/Faction is doing, not how a group of eight of on the Battle Islands is doing, to get into the juicy areas. To get to the UW or FoW, you need favor. We all know this. To get to the uber-missions in Cantha, your Faction/alliance needs to have control of the town offering the mission, the gods be damned.

Fame is achieved in the battles that assign favor of the gods. These do not exist in Cantha. Battle Isles, yes, Cantha no. Hence, in Cantha (as in Tyria, really), fame is a worthless attribute and irrelevant.

As for areas requiring favor, even if there is who cares when the far more appealing missions will be the ones gained by alliance control of towns? Worrying about fame/favor in Factions is... well... like worrying about the bird flu on Guam.

I never disagreed with you that fame is irrelevant. It's irrelevant everywhere other then the battle isles.

As for the areas available due to favor (if any) and the areas available for alliances nobody has any information. Nobody has played any of these areas and you're just guessing.

For that matter how do you know there's no areas that you need to be controlling through your alliance AND have favor to get access to. And before you answer, let me take the liberty of saying you don't.

Personally, I wouldn't be surprised if the other gods(Dwayna, Lyssa, Melandru) get their own high-end pve requiring favor.

There is going to be an area in factions which you can only reach when you get favour, but its not going to be able to be 2 manned, ArenaNet has said so.
