Aside from them being easy yada yada...
People think that they're getting 1000 faction for both sides. Although it appears on the surface to be that way, you really don't. If anyone with mixed faction in the FPE recalls, when you spend faction for one side, you lose it with the other. Spend your 1000 Luxom faction on Jadeite, your 1000 Kurzick faction goes away.
Sorry to pick nits, just felt that needed to be mentioned.
Just a quick thought regarding the "Get along" quests

Not only that, but won't your Faction decay before Factions is released?
EDIT : (oops, never mind, I was confused with Alliance Faction)
I think the main point of this quest is to:
a) show off the new camps
b) give quick XP to those trying to level up before Faction is released
I do hope they expand on this quest though... you really don't resolve anything! It would be nice to fight through Kurzick and Luxon thugs to get the star-crossed lovers to their wedding!

I wonder what the point of this really is.......I was thinking, when I found them, that surely that was just leading up to something a little more revealing......
but in another thread, someone said it's probably just an advertisement for Factions in the middle of a big farming area.
and I think I believe him

Faction doesn't decay; alliance stance does. I earned some Kurzick faction in 12v12 alliances battles on my main account and I've kept every bit of it since then, as well as getting more from the quests. A guild's alliance standing, however, decays at a rate of 10% per day.
Though yes, you do lose any faction you have for the other side when you redeem faction. So when I go to redeem all the Kurzick faction I have now, I'll lose the bit of Luxon faction I have from the quests. Which is why I only really care about the Kurzick faction I'm getting.

Does anyone remember what the first 2 quests were about? The ones in Bergen Hot Springs and LA I think...?

There are two other uses of faction, though. One, if you have more faction on one side than the other, the traders don't like you in the lesser-owned areas. Two, there was a quest for each faction: Befriending the [faction] which required you to obtain 10k faction for each side. You didn't redeem the faction to complete the quests, only needed to show that you had 10k faction for the appropriate faction (tongue twister lol). I expect another set of quests like that, in which case it will be good to have faction in both sides in order to complete those quests faster. Once they are over, then yeah the spending rule applies. Until then, 10k in each is definitely better than 10k in one.

And if you turn in all your faction (for Jade/Amber or for your Alliance Standing) nobody will talk to you anymore. Did they forget you just had high standing with them a few minutes ago?
I hope that's a little different at release.
