I'd say that one is a gray area. On one hand it's nice not to have to do that quest when making your 2nd or 3rd character. On the other hand it is the quest that teaches new players how to pull. By selling it you may prevent a new tank from learning that it is not cool to charge ahead and aggro everything in sight.

Only when you haven't finished the quest yet. You can get the ashes, abandon the quest, and get another thousand of them.

I think it's goofy. You can easily make more than 5k an hour farming, or even just playing higher-level content. Still, there will always be a market for the ashes, because people can't resist that 2k experience at the bargain price.

Actually what I did way back when was open up my storage then talk to the Duke, move the urn to storage, talk to the duke, move the urn to storage, talk to the duke...
Then when you take the ashes to the pedestal thing, you just have to click on the pedestal for as many times as you have ashes. I'm pretty sure it still works this way but I haven't done it in so, so long ever since I got a huge pile for my guildies and I that will probably never run dry.

Ditto, but my last run was a little more recent: approx. a month and a half ago, and still worked the same.

I still have a good 700something and can't be bothered to spam in piken all day

I dont care, I fly through ascalon on secondary characters now, so finishing a quest or two quicker is only the better :\

I've been wondering why there aren't any Orion Tablet sellers, when doing this quest with henchies you get 20-25 tablets drop on you.

500 g for insta acces to a free SoC, I would do it. However, when doing other Kryta quests you pass by the place where you get the tablets...

Well I finished every single quest up to there, and had nothing near 5k. I suppose if the price is high enough, the only people buying would be those that have played before...

Eh ash selling, to me thats tedious and pity work and profit. Selling ashes, I just don't get it. But ya, just zoning there to buy ashes for quick exp.

Going market for ashes seem to be 50gp so...takes a lot of ashes and a lot of spamming to sell any substantial amount. Nowadays, I run though the missions and lvl up, sort of poor man's power level and then come back with finish the quests. Easy to do it when you are lvl 18+

Whenever I go to Piken, the people selling ashes sell them for 100 or less. I don't see how you could have made 5k in an hour. How many did you have?

Bah, selling them. Just give em away to friends if they don't want to do the mish. Still, I've seen them going for 50-75g.

I like that mission. It is very exiting, luring those charr from that temple mountain. I had 60% dP, but still I succeeded in killing them all with my hench

I agree, i mean, ENJOY the game, dont just skip it! when i bought them it was because my whole team died and start cursing at the poor monk (who was doing job fine, it was the tank who pulled all those charr), but othervise, i dont see why people dont enjoy the game as it is...
