'You have been playing for 1 hour.' Message - Update?

I'm so glad to see the concensus shifting to supporting the idea.
I mean honestly, why would you get so worked up about a silly little inocculous message which is one line long telling you that you may have been spending a little too much time online playing a game.
Is it maybe because it is finally revealing to you that yes, you are spending too much time than you'd like, is it because you are feeling guilty about playing now? Shame.
It is reasonable to say that anybody spending more than 3 hours online a day is probably spending too much time. However that is your choice, but imho any help to suggest you to do something different is good.
Doing the same repetitive operations fatigues the brain also, your brain will prioritise the neuron connections related to playing games (ie. point and click) rather than other things that you use in real life like talking/memory.
Just food for thought.

you have been playing for 4 hours, please take a break. well f*** you ^^ rather just have a clock somewhere in my screen. also it would help if they kept the messege and ever hour you get a small messege wich is saying you need to click on .. you have a 5 min timer else you get kicked ^^ would help against those lame farm bots walking around in droks... its are [baby] 's ![]() |

Well, after 1 day it just keeps saying this:
You have been playing for 1 day. Please take a break.
(I left GW running overnight, people were wondering why I was standing around in droks with a bucket on my head)
After 1 day, you do get "kicked off" but you also don't.
I saw players running around, people could still message me but I couldn't reply unless I put in my PW again.
So technically I was still there except.. paralysed.
It's not a problem though. I see it as an extra defense against insider accounthackers (aka your friends/family)

I think it's a good idea and all, but for the 2-5 countries in the world (if that,) that are enforcing this law where you have to be informed. We shouldn't have to feel the effects of this if we don't want to as long as we aren't in one of those countries. Why can't they simply do something like get M$ to add something (seeing as they already have the source in China.)
Basicly what I'm saying is this isn't a very good solution for the amount of people that it MUST effect. If I had an option to turn it on/off I would probably leave it on. But I know there is several people in my guild (almost everyone,) that hates the idea of having it on all the time.

I can understand why there is such a feature, but I also think that users within some sort of parental control should have the ability to turn this annoyance off. I for one know that I don't have a life, and really wish this program would stop reinforcing this.
Maxiemonster
I like it
Too bad it doesn't continue to count when I change character though (since you need to log off for that, which is quite stupid btw). It's not that I really care about it, but it's one of those "Why not?"-things
They do no harm, besides your mother screaming "YOU'VE BEEN PLAYING FOR 8 HOURS STRAIGHT?!?!" when they happen to check your screen at the right time of course.

lol, I would support humour too
I don't have a problem with the message though. It is fairly easy to ignore and has a nice way of reminding me that perhaps some sleep at some stage during the weekend would be a good idea.

I did not really need to be told how long I have been playing.
It could have been better to tell some ingame universal time, I think, that this would be nice and a help when talking with other players.

Man, Anet is not like a Casino or WoW for that matter. They care for the well being of players. "You've been playing for a week. Your g/f broke up with you (LOL, a.net can't believe how you even got one in the first place), you lost your job, your friends are at the beach and you are not (obviously). Game Over, idiot."
God Apprentice
"You have been playing for 150 hours. You're heart has exploded."
