North of beetletun
MMSDome
Has anyone ever read the description of Beetletun before clicking to zone there? It says it was destroyed by people that came from North of there. What this is saying to me maybe that A-net will make another type of Sorrows Furnace type of update except with Kryta. It would make for a good idea because since when the game came outt eh information was there for speculation that there is land above beetletun and the world doesnt end. Hey maybe we will even figure out that the world Tyria lies on is round.
What is your speculation?

konohamaru heaven
it might of been by the charr as it was said the charr invaded both kryta and Ascalon and almsot orr but they blew themselves to kingdom come.
quickmonty
Perhaps a future land and race for additional chapters.
Murder In China
I want you to read it again; it was never destroyed by ANY creature but by old age. And it's still guarding Kryta against any mysterious creatures across the lake.
Omega X
Plot hole for a future chapter?
Gonzo
Chapter 3, the Charr now invade Kryta, everybody is forced to move to the dessert.
Edge Martinez
Maybe they guarded against the Mursaat... and lost.
Symeon
Yay! Yay yay yay! Someone else is interested in this other than me!
What is my speculation? This is my speculation (warning - old thread):

I thought it was some pretty good stuff when I did it.
Guild Wars Vikings FTW!

I've never been here before, I thought i'd explore after reading this thread, the towers look great. There's so much in GW that seems to suggest that there is great scope for new stories.
Witchblade
exactly

Count to Potato
Ive seen this tower to, seems like a lost person is living there??? and i think the the unknown things above giants basin is... giants?
Age
I like this idea and what King Symeon said can I be Viking as I have some of it in me.
eudas

Dirty Old Man (to pretty young thing): Got any Italian in ya?

:O I never took the time to notice there are town descriptions :O
Well Cantha is directly south of Tyria, so I'm sure going north makes sense. They can still go east and west too. The going west chapter may have something to do with the Shining Blade, and going east...well since the eastern-most we see is ascalon really, can't tell what kind of land that would be...
But we don't have to stop there. I was thinking a while back, that they may even go up! It'd be amazing if one of the chapters was about a floating continent :O

Except possibly Scots with bagpipes, but we can't have everything

Lol, don't pay too much attention to the games lore. I played space trade/combat games where every solarsystem had a description referring to ancient races, artifacts, and so on. Never to be found! But its a good way to keep immagination going

about the tele porter go 2 lions arch and look by the guild guys same type of thing as Cantha is linked via Lions Arch maby this will be 2
Nevin
Pirates seem better then vikings... Just for GW's sake. I dunno Vikings are just a little less mesmizering then pirates.
Symeon
But Vikings are pirates...right? Well...kinda. They have their longboats! And they make similar battle-cries! And they loot and plunder and...
I guess they aren't quite the same, as pirates wear their piratey outfits and have duels with swords.
Then again, pirates aren't all that great by themselves either!
What about Vikings/Pirates? Men wearing pirate outfits and wielding swords, but wearing horned helmets and sailing in longboats...with black sails with skull-and-crossbones.
Hmmm...well whatever they were/are, they have to be some kind of seafaring invaders.
Anyway, don't mind me and my wild imagination. Let's just agree that that place is an open slot for expansions from Tyria. And...maybe my idea would be the best for it

I'd like to see that area developed more though. There are a lot of interesting ruins scattered in the game. I think we could only benefit from more lore about these things.
Allanon Dark
Hmmm...Giants Basin. Maybe this has something to do with the giant Giants that were mentioned in our little lore book that came with the game. The teleporter everyone mentioned could be one of those Rift portals set up by that Wizard Lord (cant remeber name) mentioned in the book. It could be a safe location if the guy knew of the existence of the true giants and suspected that they would defend upon any intrusion on their teritory. Maybe this entire thing is pointless, who knows but the devs.

Hunter Sharparrow
Reminds me of the bone dragon area in Majesty's Rest. I use to believe that the big door there was the way to get to the UW and FoW. lol oh my good times.
storm of daeth
who knows what the little castle is im sure its just a ruin of sorts but it would be cool if charr invaded kryta again somehow and you could start out in pre kryta =D
Death Dafire
I can't wait til the 28th.. Will see if any of these speculations actually happen.
