n00b question (Pretty much)

Okay, wow this is pretty n00b-like but, eh I have been on this site for a little while, since like december or something, and eh, I have no idea what this term means...so I figured, why not ask?

The question is, what is "bump" I mean exactly...because I thought it was this one thing, then some one was like to this guy, "Don't bump until after 24 hours" and uh, yeah...what does it mean? Yeah..sorry for the n00bness, rofl..but yeah, I thought it would help me out, oh and what does imo mean?? I use to know, but I forgot...lmao. Refresh my mind.

Bump ....... when the original poster makes a second post to push his post to the top of the list. Typically used in the buying and selling forums. Frowned upon in the other areas of forum. Most often the post just says "bump"

BTW ..... i don't like the term noob .... too deragatory.

After so long, the new topics push one topic back out beyod the 1st page into the abysmal depths that not too many ppl will read it...when u bump a post u made, it takes it back to the top of the list, b/c it has a new 'reply'
