Greetings,

I understand that there were two new quests added this last update. They involve going to the opposite faction's settlement, and engaging in slaughter and mayhem. Problem is - where are these quests given at? I have gone to the Kurizick, Luxon, and even Ascalon settlements, and have yet to find any quest givers. Is it because I have over 30k Kurzick faction (from the preview event), or is it because I have already done the Kurzick side of the Romeo/Juliet quests? I have closed and restarted Guild Wars several times in case I have missed any file downloads. Any info will be much appreciated.

These quests are given in Lions Arch, the two people who give them are in front of the skills trainer up that stairs.

SPOILER WARNINGS WITHIN!!

Greetings,

I've looked in Lion's as well. The only two people that I see in front of Firstwatch Sergio (the skill trainer guy) is Dalos Ekarus and Meika Ulrikar, who are the Romeo/Juliet quest givers (sorry for the spoiler there). I have already done the Kurizck portion of that quest. Do I have to do the Luxon side as well? If so, I won't be getting the "Kill the Enemy Faction Settlers" since I don't want to have any Luxon faction - I'm Kurzick all the way. I see no other Luxon/Kurzick people anywhere near Firstwatch. Any more info from the Guru community?

You have to do both the Romeo/Juliet quests. Then you go to Seaguard whateverhisnameis and Baron Whateverhisnameis. They are located in the Kurzick and Luxon settlements. You can only do one though, so pick wisely,=.

Greetings,

Well, as I said, I won't be doing the Romeo portion of that quest, so I guess I'll miss out on this one as well . The reason I won't do the Romeo portion is because, as I said, I am a die-hard Kurzick supporter. I am so die-hard that I don't even want a single point of Luxon faction. I do understand that this will result in me missing out on some content, but that's the price I'm willing to pay. Although, I don't understand why I have to help the Luxons (Romeo) in order to qualify for slaughtering their settlement . Oh well. Thanks for the info.

Ah my bad hehe, must've been the absence of me during the PVE and lack of some knowledge regarding Factions :P

Ah well, I've done both of them Romeo/Juliet quests, that's why I thought you meant those .

Still have no clue about which side to pick and/or why... Can someone enlighten me?

Pick Luxon.

Trick to do mission MORE than once.

Take you quest then go to the meeting point. Talk to the leader then abandon quest. Then kill them all. I've heard of some good drops here. After you kill them all zone and take quest again.

If you kill them all and abandon the quest it will not work. I went back to the leader. Accepted the quest again and it never showed up in my log again. So I got no reward from the quest.

WARNING: SPOILER BELOW

You have to do both quests because the catalyst for them deciding that now is the time to kill each other is the couple running off - the Kurzicks blame the Luxons and vice versa. Until you've reported to 'Romeo' that Seaguard Ekarus has refused peace, the couple still hang around hoping that the Luxons might be willing to consider peace, and hence the final trigger doesn't come. It's only when told that both sides have refused to even consider coming to an agreement that they run off.

If you're that fanatical, I'd suggest you grit your teeth and do the quest - you'll be able to dispose of your Luxon faction the first time you get a chance to redeem your Kurzick faction. Me, I'm avoiding doing either 'Crush' quest because I'm not strongly aligned enough to either faction to want to wipe out the other...

If it makes you feel better, think of it as an excuse to visit the Luxon commander in order to demand his surrender prior to the attack ;-)

You ever have to clean up after a Moa bird?

Yeah, as someone who has a character who's mother's maiden name was Lutguardis, I've got to say, telling the Luxon chief about his gutless son was WELL worth getting to slaughter them like sheep afterwards.

So me and five guildies left LA to do the Kurzick's quest.
My mate, Eviance, killed the child peasant. o_O; As we berated her for being a child murderer, she kept saying "But dude, that kid was an Ele! I had to!"

-_- But ya know...
... after going through all that effort in the PvE missions to make our characters look Noble and Good and all that.... I'm not sure I can reconcile this image, with the memory of killing refugees. I feel so positively Third World. ><

You cannot abandon quests while in an explorable area. Or can you now?

OR just ally yourself with someone who hasn't done the quest yet... much easier.

You won't be able to get the mission from the other side this way (I tried), but you can still kill the Luxons or Kurzicks.

What old ones? The ones where you clear out the areas before the settlements arrived are over. (I missed these as well, I believe I was playing the preveiw event during that time...)

The only way (other than what Mordakai suggested) would be completing the quest goal but not accepting the quest reward. Right after killing all the Kurzicks/Luxons, go to an outpost, abandon the quest and go start it again. Haven't tested.

Yours, maybe? Drop me a line.

N/Me

Here's a rough explaination of each Faction.

Kurzicks

They are weird, gothic, disgusting, self-mutilating, ugly, pale people that live in dead trees. They also have overgrown/insectlike moles as pets. There is one bright side though, and that is that their name sounds sort of like croutons if you skim over it. And croutons are awsome.

Luxons

Sea-fareing pirates. Arrr! They wear bright clothing, train in the art of combat, and love to sail the open seas on the backs of their freaking ownage seaturtles.

So I'd like to quote Str0b0 and say LUXON FTW!
