Best gold you ever spent? (or ecto)

Whats the best (in terms of usefulness, collectability, guilty pleasure) thing you ever spent your guild wars money on?

mine would be my 14^50 req 8 Sundering (10/9) Brutesword of Defense that i bought unided for 47k.

second would have to be Malinon's shield.

Mine would of been when i bought the Crimson Crapace shield Stance Shield from way back at release ive used it ever since (come one can you really get much better). I payed 2.5k for it back then

Been looking for a damage +14% or 15% in a stance Flamberge for a while, got a req. 8 14% one today for 6k, which I guess is good. Can't really think of much else.

Best gold I spend is paying for Droks armor for guild members who play through the storyline to get there with their first character and don't have the gold to buy it.

For the longest time (before the AoE nerf) I ran Blood+Fire, and used Gordac's Needle and Hook. I paid (wait for it) ........ 17k TOTAL for them both!

Now I have a yummy Blood truncheon +5 > 50%, 18% Blood Recharge, that I usually use instead of the Needle. (At least when +2 energy > 2% recharge)

My MM set was very very well spent money. I bought the wand for 70k and a few months later got Bortaks for 55k.

They have paid for themselves many many many times over.

A couple of weeks ago I was looking for a req. 9 or 10 15^50 storm bow. One was selling on the High End forum and I bid 100K+ecto (forget how much exactly). Then when I was in TotPK going into a b/p run someone was posting something along the lines of:

WTS req. 9 15^50 storm bow no n00b offers pm me.

I offered him 100K on the spot fully expecting him to tell me to F off. He didn't. I bought it right there and then went out and bought a 10/10 sundering string and +30HP grip (n00b mods I know, I have a 15[enchanted] 5/1 vamp, +5 defense stormbow for my "real" bow, but hey, I like the bling you know).

I paid 165K total to make the bow and I saw an identical bow sell for almost twice as much in the High End forum a few days ago. Pretty good buy I'd say. Like...saved 20 ectos.

I was idly looking through armor archives, and I noticed the Mesmer's 15k Noble's armor, and fell in love. I immediately created a mesmer with the sole purpose of getting that armor, and I just finished it a couple days ago. Easily the most satisfying thing I've ever bought.

A 14 always 9req 10/10 +29 stormbow for 50K, I guess.

Otherwise, if it's about wasting some cash just for the fun of it : FoW armor, definitly.

EDIT - Oh yeah, and dyes... so many dyes... knowing that I was going to waste them. But I wanted the perfect color, and had to try so many mixes for my armors...

Oh yeah I forgot about my Fissure armour XD.

The Maguuma Key that got me a good Gold staff for my Mesmer. From memory the staff had +26 Health and +5 Armor and quickened the recharge on Domination spells

my favorite achievement in GW was buying 1.5k droks armor for my tank. i was so excited

but now i have since moved on to FoW armor on my warrior

Probably that decent little zealous fellblade of enchanting I bought from the auctions here. I can't tell you how cool it has been with that thing. Now I just need to get a better enchanting pommel for it and I'll be set.

For me it would be the 50g I gave to the Xualai(?) Agent. Extra 20 item slots.

That or the FoW armor for my necro.

For me my 3k on the 20/20 rockmolder that i later sold for like 100k, 97k profit

About 5k for a req. 8, -3/-2 eternal shield- max and gold.

I gave 10k to a newbie, made his day.

Can't exactly remember the price, but my lovely Longbow i bought here on Guru is worth much more to me than i paid.

best gold ever spent would be buying 4 hod swords prenerf then selling em for about 375k 6 months later

120k / 5k = 24 rockmolders one hour after nerf.
