Heavy Blow, BB, Dev Ham views

(Was origianally title BB over DH why?)
I wasn't sure where to put this since it was mainly a HA observation.

Anyway, I dont understand why ppl run a bb combo over a dev ham combo. I see alot of smart team running build like TF, BB->Cr Bl-> Ir Bl-> Ham Bash.

the combo yields, with ss gaunts:
I loged on so i am taking lvl 12 dmg values

BB +16 kd 4secs 10Adr
Cr Bl +16 + DW nrg
Ir Bl +24 nrg
Ham KD 2sec lose Adr 6Ard

I understand why ppl want 6 sec of kd but, I prefer running this build cause a very high % of the time i am interupting and i do more dmg.

Dev Ham KD 2sec WK 17 sec 7Adr
Cr Bl +16 +DW nrg
He Bl +24 2sec KD 6Adr
Ir Bl +24 nrg

IDK i usually run it with shock, but even if you encapsulate both combo's with TF, yes i have run this, during time it takes to execute the first hammer attack, a good monk will be able to get a spell off. I saw it so enough, but very rarely can any monk spell, touch included, get off with the 2nd. More likely your are going to interupt them and they will be bashing there keyboard even more.

And if you do encapsulate both combos with TF you will be able execute the 2nd combo more than the first.

It's not about where weakness is good its about getting the +24 and KD from heavey.

you could subtitute BB for Dev and run Stag Bl plus the 2nd combo for a long combo, but i havent seen that at all.

And Wow could u combine Heavy Blow, with some ele skills. I am way new compaired to ya'll but I aint stupid. so give me some answers i'll check back in a fews hours, earlier if i get aweful pugs.

What about Staggering Blow (SB) and Earthshaker (ES) combo? Its like same as Devasting Hammer, 2 sec lower weakness, but Earthshaker kd's everyone near of you, isnt it brilliant?

Not really. The point of the hammer chain is to keep one target knocked down for a long time, and you can only get 1 attack in during a 3 second kd (2 with 33% attack speed boost). I personally do not like Backbreaker, but do not like Heavy Blow's "If" clause either, so I simply run Devestating Hammer+Hammer Bash for a nice, cheap unconditinal 6 second knockdown.

I aSSume that's why most ppl don't like heavy blow, but if you knock them down they HAVE TO have weakness on them. Now, that can be removed if used on a war and he calls out for condition removal. Casters dont even flinch when they have weakness on then as it does not effect them in the least. I understand your reasoning completely but you have to realize that Dev. Ham. ALWAYS puts weakness on an opponent, if kd. The kd duration of a DH->HB combo is only 4 secs, not 6 DH 1sec HB 1sec SS +1 to each KD.
