i would like to know if there is a way to toggle between dx8 and dx9 in guildwars, my slower computer with the older video card cant seem to handle minimizeing guildwars and bringing it back to fullscreen without it freezeing the computer, i tried updateing the drivers to the latest and the card seems to not like them makeing my computer restart when i log into windows, so i had to reformat, but all i would like to no is if there is a way to toggle between dx versions

No, I dont think there is, say for example if you have a DX9 card, it will render in that, likewise if you have a lower DX? compatible card, it will render inwhatever that is.

You can add the -dx8 flag to a guild wars shortcut to force that rendering.

It does seem to help some older cards, too.

hey j_unit, out of curiousity what video card are you using?
