Create a new char now? Or when Factions is out?

I'm considering creating a new char this week, and I'm going to buy factions and link it to my current GW account.

My question is, am I likely better off waiting till factions to create my new character, or creating it now? I want to play the low-level factions content; I'm concerned that I'll have to get to Lion's Arch, then get transported to the equivalent Factions area.

Well, I have bad news for you. I think you have to actually Ascend before you can go to Cantha (although no one knows for sure)...

But, you can always just play your new character for awhile, then delete them later when Factions comes out.

I'm waiting for Factions. The Monk skills there totally wipe our existing ones in terms of hex/condition removal

You might also what to consider what kind of face and hairstyle you want. I wanted to make a warrior but didn't like any of the Canta hair/face combinations, so I made one from the phophecies campaign and will probably just not be able to do the tutorial section of Factions with her. Maybe I'm wrong and they'll let people use all possible face/hair combinations for every chapter, but I doubt it.

yeah. In my opinion the factions mesmer face and hair styles are revolting, so I decided that my mesmer, at least, will be a prophecies character.

Are there any screenshots of the selections which you can get for the Memser in factions?

I prefer the ranger hair styles in factions over prophecies, so my ranger is getting deleted once I get factions, getting all the good skills on my W/R so I can buy any non-cantha ones off a skill trainer.

There isn't a whole lot. 80% of the game is designed for level 20 characters, according to ANet in an interview. Expect the low level areas to be short, but probably not sweet (it's low level PvE, after all).
