The recharge time makes this skill not worth it especially for the duration when you can just use Mo/E and use Glyph of Lesser Energy.

ya this skill is pretty useless. They need to bump up the duration or recharge a bit.

I always bring this spell on my monk cuz i dont have a really big mana pool. When you run out of mana and your team looks in pretty bad position, use this. With 4 energy regen, spam as much healings you can during the 9 seconds and you should have around 10 energy when divine spirit ends. It really helps a lot!

PS: Glyph helps mostly for high mana cost spells... since i mostly use word of healing as my primary spell and then use orison of healing when word is recharging, glyph doesnt helps much

Under the right conditions however it might be of some use.

If you use Mo/E and Glyph of Renewal under Quickening Zephyr or Mo/R with serpents quickness.

With Quickening Zephyr alone the recharge time for this skill is 30 seconds. With serpents quickness this is reduced to 20 seconds and if you use glyph of renewal that's 15 seconds. Possibly less if you use a 20% Skill Recharge Divine Holy Rod and a 20% Fast Cast/20% Skill Recharge Divine offhand it COULD be of some use.

Which is not bad but I still see other skills that far outweigh this one.

Suppies? I have found use for this skill, contrary to popular belief. Lately I have been bored w/farming so started PvP. I like monking myself, consecutive wins are easy in random arenas with a monk on your team. My build: Boon Baby- 16 Divine, 11 Blood, Rest in Prot/Heal. With 16 divine boon heals for 73 and Spirit Last for 15 sec. I cast spirit halfway through my energy, effectively making my spells cost 3 energy (healing for around a total of 145 each click). By the time this is recharged and ready to go I am back at half energy, cast again and then the battle is over- we have won. My elite is offering of blood....I really like this spell.

well, I would like Divine Spirit to be a signet; its recharge time is 60 seconds, therefore it has already a signet's recharge time.

I am thinking in the beauty of a prot-boon monk build , as I think that the heal-boon monk build is uggly... , and for this purpose, if using Divine Spirit and then cast 5 times 5 energy spells, if I am able to cast 5 in 14 seconds (with Divine Favor 15, and Prot. Prayers 14), the economy would be saving: 10 + 5*5 - 5*4= 35-20=15 in 60 seconds.

And talking about non-elite skills for energy management, even mesmers Energy Tap would do a little better (with 8 in inspiration, 12 max. energy in 25 seconds); but, there is Channeling, and there are possible combos with Inspired Hex.

(These are non-elite skills, nevertheless, think that for a prot-boon monk using a staff with the modifier for enchantments 20% longer, using the elite Mantra of Recall might be annoying, as MoR is an enchantment too! So that it may not to be so recomended. And think that Peace and Harmony helps to earn 60*0.33=19.8 energy in 60 seconds, and you see that these two elites might not be a better solution than those mesmer's non elite skills, because with them you still have a slot for an elite)

The one way this is used (and I have seen a build like this).

Glyph of Renewel Effectively makes its recharge be just over 15 secs. (just got to remember to never cast it without putting glyph up first).

With a 20% longer Enchant mod and high divine favor - It effectively can stay up all the time. with even a few seconds breather room.

Under Boon (which you'll be using with high divine) it effectively saves you 4-5e per cast (depending on the original energy cost).

I have tried but have found no apparent use for this sad spell. 10 energy is too much, 60 seconds recharge is too long and 9 seconds enchanted is too short! But I have been wrong before about spells. Good luck fellow healers.
