I'm stupid, Look down.
I've been thinking about this for a long time and I think that a Guild wars IRC channel would be great, Mainly for these reasons:
- Looking for parties will be made easier
- Buying\Selling items will also be made easier because of the fact that
sellers\buyers will be able to advertise in one main IRC channel rather
than advertising in different outposts\districts ingame.
- People will be able keep track of the community, get the latest news and
discuss various subjects, all in one place.
For people who don't know, IRC (Internet Relay Chat) is a multi-user, multi-channel chatting system. You can create your own channels, join other people's channels, PM people, send files and much much more (This is not a commercial for IRC

You can read about IRC here:
http://www.irchelp.org/irchelp/irctutorial.html
You can also read about how to use Mirc (Currently the most popular mIRC client) here:
http://www.ircbeginner.com/ircinfo/mirc.html
Look here:
Apperently there are some IRC channels around, and some of them are:
#guildwarsguru (gwguru channel)
#gwitems (gwguru auction)
#guildhall (tgh channel)
#gwp (quite large channel for pug searching)
on gamesurge.net
#guildwars (largest channel i know, 200-300 people in peak times)
#guildwars.trading (nice tradebot, little used)
+several non english channel
on quakenet.org
(Copied from Seut's post).
Now all you have to do is grab a client, connect and have fun.
P.S
Any spelling\grammar corrections will be more than welcome. I am not a native speaker and I'm still learning english.
