Ok, well I really want to make a 55hp Monk, but I have a problem. I'm level 19 and i'm very short on cash (at the moment, I can only really afford 1 Superior Rune.)
I'm wondering if I should either use the money to buy a nice green staff and try and start funding the build it using a more powerful weapon or keep my current weapon (a defensive smiting staff, not too good) and fund it (possibly) slower. I just need to know the best ways (in my position) to be making money.
Also, anotehr question. I heard that Warrior is the best 2nd proffesion to have as a 55 monk. My friend told me that you can change your 2nd job somewhere, anyone know where and how?
Thanks a bunch for any help guys.
Need some help...

Your 2nd proffesional you can change in Crystal Desert. First you must make 3 Missions in Desert ( Elona Reach , Thristy River, Dunes Of Despain ) and then ascend ( Going to augury and talk to Npc guy near teleporter, and kill your Doppleganger ) then in Seeker's Passage ( I thing ) you can take quest Monk's Path , make it and you can change your 2nd.

^I suggest reading my 55 guide (at least the section about starting a 55 monk). It will give you some helpful info on how to build a 55 monk (being rich or poor).
You could also buy 5 major runes die a couple times untill your health is low (acts just like a 55 monk cept you have to die every now and then to keep your DP high enough).

Thanks a bunch. Just a question, what's a bonder and a boon healer?
"...bonder for Sorrows Furnace or boon healer for Fissure of Woe..."
Cheers!

those are two other types of monk builds (non 55). Since I play my monk about 90% of the time I play GW, I try to make my monk as versatile as possible.
A bonder in general just keeps up bonds..Life barrier, Life bond, Essence bond, Life Attunement, Etc..they usually have energy degen and counter that by using energy on hit spells (ex. balthazar's spirit) and blessed signet.
A boon healer in general uses divine boon and the divine bonuses to add an extra kick of healing when using skills. You throw up divine boon and use say..orison of healing and you'll get the healing power of orison + divine boon + the divine bonus.

Cheers for that, but should I actually keep my current staff? Here it is:
If I shouldn't, I have about 10k at the moment, what staff should I buy for healing?

If you're a bit tight with your cash, I'd suggest getting yourself the healing staff from the collector outside of Port Sledge. I think theres one there, memory is a bit off.
