Firstly, I'm going to start by saying I loathe WOW, with a passion....

....But I must admit, the trade system is something that its got right, for those who are not familar there's a mini-ebay basically, in the game, where you can submit items to be sold, stating a duration, minimum start, and buyout price. You can then walk away, knowing that it'll either sell itself or it won't.

Comparing this to GW, its almost impossible to sucessfully trade, the trade chat window is full of people trying to sell things, its hard to see whats on offer most of the time, let alone make an offer of your own, theres multiple posts of the same item, people WTB and WTS - it all gets very messy.

The only other alternative is to buy and sell on forums such as this one, but thats time consuming and arkward at the best of times.

In addition - WOW has a nice feature where you can shift+click on an item in you inventory and its puts the name in the chat windows for all to see - and they can click on for a better description, which is a hell of alot quicker than typing the item up in the chat window.

I was just wonder if anyone else thought that this is something that needs to be addressed.

P.S. It might not sound it, but I really do hate WOW, I havn't played it, I never will

I'd venture to guess that there have been at least 100 similar posts about this. Yes it does need some work.

I wrote a lengthy proposal for one over here, and there are a million more if you search for 'auction house'

Fair enough - I guess my searching could use some work

Might as well close the thread then
