I had a thought and want to do this for PvP, this may have been discussed already, search results too long.

I want to build a sleeper, While battling in tombs one thing i see as a normal thing is the phrase

"Kill the monk!"
"Kill the Mesmer!"

A 12 in haling does wonderful for attributes, You can do alot with that, so why not pick a say Ranger as your primary and put all your attributes to healing and protection? Yes you miss out on Divine favor but you wont be so easy to spot and be targeted as the teams healer since they think you will be offensive right?

Rangers and Ele's are distant fighters so standing back wont look odd. a warrior in the rear would.

What are your thoughts on my sleeper idea? Would you think this to work? maybe even have a team do this for confussion? ele's as Necros, Necros as mesmers (no fast casting *sobs*) there would be a handycap for sure with one big attribute not available but the confussion should be a sizable advantage. I sometimes try to think if portions or "The Art of War" would help improve an organized GvG or PvP but you cant use that info. The virtual battlefield is way diffrent and you cant kill your team mates as an example for not obeying! LOL

The problem about Ranger is the 3 pips of energy (if i am not mistaken) opposing to the 4 pips a real monk would get. A Ranger/Mesmer though works out great and has been done by many a two people.
And Elementalist/Monks - well even though they are no primary healers i have an eye on them whenever i'm fighting and as soon as they cast but one healing spell they get my undivided attention.

An interruption mesmer would work out great on an Elementalist/Mesmer too, as the interruption skills have a cast time of 3/4 anyways... but playing energy denial and other stuff, you'd be hampered by the missing fast cast attribute.

Elementalist/Monk works pretty nicely, you get a whole bunch of energy to play with and many people will simply ignore you if there's another monk in your party, even if you're just loaded down with healing spells. I've been part of one group where they had an E/Mo and a Mo/W, and the Mo/W was actually a decoy who used warrior skills to evade attacks etc while the E/Mo did all the healing. Pretty neat deception.

Of course, if you run into someone like me who nails anyone with "Mo" in their class, primary OR secondary, it comes a bit unstuck :P
