This is just one thing that annoys me. I have four characters and hate having to log back in every time I switch to another character. Anet should make it so that you can switch characters without logging you out.

Change Character Without Logging Out

Yeah this is kind of irritating but Im sure there is some overwhelmingly complicated reason why it works this way. Because it makes sense to just switch characters so there can be no other way around it

Yes I find this irritating as well.

Right click on your desktop shortcut and go to where it says target. After the line in quotation put a space then -password=xxxxx (where xxxxx is your password) and no more having to type it in yourself.
".....gw.exe" -password=xxxxx
It's been brought up not too long ago.

This has been addressed by ANet many times and they are firmly against changing it. It's a security measure so that the 'evil little brother' can't ruin your entire account, but merely one character. (ie: get up to go to the bathroom, come back to find your account wiped... not cool).
I understand why people want it changed, and that it might seem unneccessary as a security measure. However, it doesn't matter what I think. What matters is that ANet has been very solid in their stance that as a security measure the need to re-login to switch characters will stay. No number of requests will change their minds on this one.
