A couple of questions :)

Hi there, been reading for quite a while now, so figured I might be lucky enough to have some kind person clear up a couple of random things for me, if you please.

1. How do you make multicoloured pings on the minimap? I've seen people making it go yellow and blue, but when I asked all I got was a lot more yellow pinging in response.

2. If your party members move out of your minimap range, is there no way to track them? We once died and resurrected at different shrines, and had to eventually give up tracking random pings everywhere. The auto-follow doesn't seem to work beyond a given range.

3. Do two mesmer hexes of the same type not stack? Am currently at Augury Rock, and have been doubling Conjure Phantasm for ages. Read something about this yesterday and feel a bit silly

4. Is there no way to get a party from Augury Rock to do the other parts? Everyone only advertises for runs. Weird, but not entirely a question in the same vein as the previous ones

5. Are White Emblem Badges good for anything other than selling ?

Bleh, probably have more but can't remember them just now. Answers to any, even a couple would be much appreciated

I take it by nope you meant they don't stack. Henchmen work but they're not as fun I guess. Didn't have trouble finding any groups until just now

Chat channels arent very useful when you're playing for the first time. Not easy to tell exactly WHERE you've managed to lose yoruself

I finally managed to stay alive in the Desert, thus I'm constantly exploring there.
I'll be happy to take real people along. When you see me, just invite yourself. I can always ditch Orion

PS. When you are below the lvl of my henchies, don't bother.

The desert pretty much has to be henched, in large part. It has a ton of important collectors, and they're not all in or right outside cities. And getting a PUG for a hike to visit one would not be easy.

You can get PUGs for most of the desert quests or missions, however.

1. The blue and yellow pings are ones done by the game, not by players, showing points, to do with the mission or quest.

Ah ok then, the three ghosts do give you a general idea of where to go, so figure I can manage it

Another random question - When you get a weapon customised further on in the game, does the added damage percentage increase?

I noticed one of my wands has a +20%, while my other older weapons are +10.

Ah but when I asked someone started yellow pinging like crazy. I have seen the blue game one, like when you drop the scepter of orr. But it really looked like yellow pings were controlled, seeing as how at one point they randomly flooded the minimap...

It was probably just a coincidence, since the yellow pings do ping crazily every so often, then stop, and then ping again. I have never heard of players having pings other than red, or the yellow pings occuring in anywhere other than a mission or certain quests.

Edit: The customise dmg percentage is always 20%.

There are inherant mods on weapons that give a dmg percentage increase, in a stance etc.

Oh well that's entirely possible I guess.

Oh.. haha about the customised damage thing. I must have imagined the 10%. I do that now and again
