Go Into Hero's Ascent and form or join a group of 8 including yourself. After that, you have to win all the battles against other teams of 8 players. If you win every battle you will eventually get to the Hall of Heroes.

You have to keep winning battles every time you want to get there. It is by far the hardest place to reach in the entire game. (Unless you go though TOPK and go to the PVE HoH to attack the Darkness)

Looks like you have a long way to go to get to HoH...

There are 9 "arenas" in HA: Underworld, Burial Mounds, Broken Tower, Scarred Earth, Unholy Temples, Dark Chambers, Courtyard, Sacred Temples, Hall of Heroes. Most of the time you won't have to go through all 9 and your group will get a couple jumps (if you won Underworld and there are no parties waiting to fight on Burial Mounds, you'll jump to Broken Tower, etc) but unless you get lucky and get a huge jump, you'll have to win a fair number of fights to get to HoH.

There are many different builds, it is a PVP area, so you can't simply run one build. Check the gladiators arena for a few team builds. You can watch matches there by hitting the "b" button ingame, that should give you an idea of what people currently run and how the maps are played.

Be patient once you've reached Hero's Ascent as well, your not going to reach Hall of Hero's on your first try.It takes a bunch of practice and expierence. But keep at it.

There's a whole forum section for questions about Hero's Ascent, just take a look at the PvP section of Guru, you'll find everything you need to know about builds and tactics, like rangers or blood spiking. This game is not as simple as you might think, there are no ways for farming consistently rare skin weapons nor easy ways to win HA just copying the builds around, all you need is skill and an awesome team work. Good luck.

I think he meant how to get to Heroes Ascent in the first place, if I remember correctly it goes like this.

Great temple of balthazar: walk through the portal and do the quest you get there. You need to beat 5 different kind of matches. This unlockes random arena's

Random arena's: win 5 times in a row to unlock Team arena's

Team arena's: win 10 times in a row to unlock Heroes Ascent

Possibly you have to do the Zaishen challange first to unlock random arena's, im not sure cause I already had all the spots on the battle isles. (appart from zaishen elite of course)

Unlocking all the pvp area's is required for ppl who have never played pvp.

If what I wrote is wrong, someone plz correct me.

If you win the Hall of Heroes, then items drop for you and your group. The drops are said to be the best in the game.

Yes, you can take a PvE character into PVP, and even if you did take a PVP character in, you could get the loot if you managed to win the halls. However, it's so ridiculously difficult to win halls, and your odds of doing it are so slow that you would really make more money farming basically anything.

Starting to suspect you are speaking of Tombs of the Primeval Kings

This is the previous map location/entrance to the halls of heroes PVP competition area. Now it is a PVE area. Its entered from Dragons Lair (aka Glint's pad) in the desert. I recemmend doing a little research, start here:

then Heroe's Ascent, if you are asking this question, my advice is stick to tombs. Not because I would suggest you are incapable, just it would be FAR FAR more efficient to continue doing tombs for the loot. If however you are very interested in pvp, by all means do go to HA (I'd suggest going with the mesmer secondary on your ranger and trapping though), just dont go there for the treasure.... too little, too hard a path to trod for loot at least for a long while. As there is NONE until you actually WIN in hall of heroes... then random drops from chest. You might get something good, might not.

let's see now....

there's 2 ways to get to the Halls.

PvP:
Win several consecutive battles at Hero's Ascent with a team of 8 players (including you). Common builds used in HA are:

Ranger Spike: usually 4 rangers with Punishing Shot, Dual Shot, and Savage Shot and other preparations used as damage buffs (mostly Read the Wind). Dual Shot deals a large amount of damage, which, when followed up with Savage Shot or Punishing Shot, unleashes a large amount of instant damage. an "Orders" necromancer is usually included in the build to add damage with the necro enchantments Order of Pain and Order of the Vampire, which add a large amount of damage.

IWAY: this build is solely based on the skill I Will Avenge You (IWAY). this shout (strength-based) will give you 10 seconds of +x health regeneration and 25% faster attack speed for every dead ally/party member. IWAY builds usually include 5 W/R's, 2 R/Me's and 1 N/E. The W/R's have a pet that's used as fodder to power IWAY, and the R/Me's use Mantra of Persistance (or something like that) to keep their traps from being interrupted. the N/E is an Orders necro, using the Orders skills to increase the W/R's damage output.

Balanced: Generally contains 1-2 Warriors, 1-2 Mesmers, 1 Ranger, 1-2 Necromancers, 3 monks, and 1-2 elementalists. Balanced builds, as far as i know, don't really have a set basis of skills or classes. they're just defined by the fact that they don't base their power on a certain type of attack, like a spike, or don't use one specific class in their build as their mainstay. balanced builds usually are used to maintain their party members while keeping a constant stream of damage on their targets, eventually killing them when the enemy makes a mistake. what kind of damage they deal is different in each build, though. some use degen hexes and conditions and then deal lethal damage with other classes.

Blood Spike: 7 Necros and 1 spirit-spamming ranger. the necromancers use Shadow Strike and Vampiric Gaze to deal a huge amount of damage in the space of about 2 or 3 seconds, while the ranger spams spirits to fuel the necros' energy (if you don't understand it, find out what happens when you try to summon a spirit when one of them is already on the field. then look into Soul Reaping. 1+1=2.)

That's all the team builds i can think of right now.

Now, about the "phat" loot: once a team wins in the Hall, a chest appears and assigns 3 Celestial Sigils (used for purchasing a Guild Hall) to 3 random party members. one party member can't get more than 1 sigil. 1 rare item is also dropped, randomly assigned, also. the stats of the items are random too, so you're not guaranteed a great item each time you win.

Small correction

4 W/R
1 R/ME (usually with mantra of resolve, but since the last nerf you see other skills being used to avoid being interupted)
1 R/MO (martyrtrapper)
1 N/E (tainted)
1 N/MO (order nec with healing skills)
