I asked Gaile Gray her personal opinion about purchasing char slots and she said that many players have asked this question before. She said that they might implent this without delaying other important features... Anet will do their best to fulfill the request.
So, what are your opinions about this? Should it be added and if so, would you buy an extra slot?

I bought a second account to get more slots, and with Factions on both of them, I'll have 12 slots. I can't see myself needing more. But I've seen people say in other forums that they'd like to buy more characters slots without buying another account, so it would probably be good if Anet allowed that.
What I want: more storage! Things will only get worse with two more characters on each account.

Well, depends on the price, actually... 99 cents, I might splurge just for the sake of the added storage. $25.99, no, likely not.
Hmm... what would people pay for an extra slot? That seems like a highly relevant question here...

i think the correct price for slots should be 10$. for that price i'll buy a couple with ease... i just want to have 1 pve char for each profession and 1 account only

I have 3lvl 20's and I wanted a Ranger Back SO I just made one, I still would like a pvp slot (can't now) and when I merge Factions I will make a Rit and assn.
This still leaves me with out a pvp slot, mes, or ele. So if this was an option I would purchase more slots.
The problem with a second account is that anything that you've opened on one you'd have to open again.
So If I could add to my main account then I wouldn't mind a few more spots to try different things out.

Heh if the price was at 10$ I'd buy at least 2, any more than that, I'd figure I'll just save for the exta and buy a new account for 4 slots. Personally I'd rather be able pay like 200k or so in game for an extra row in storage.

Yes, I would be interested in the ability to purchase more storage at the Xunlai Agent. Say, 1-5pp per additional square or row or something?

In my opinion, you should have unlimited (or practicly unlimited) character slots. ANet is just screwing us. This way they force us to buy another GW Account, and maybe even another GW Factions Account too, in case you want to upgrade. This is plain rude, just because they want money, they make us suffer? :/ Laaaaame!

At like $5 per slot or $10 for 3 I would for sure. I only have the one account, and I'm merging with Factions. Right now I have a spare slot open but I still have a lot of ideas I want to try and Factions will only multiply my combinations to try

I'm going to merge my faction account with my original one. But currently i have no empty slots (all 4 has PvE characters on it) So i would only get two empty slots when faction is release. If there a option to purchase more slots at like 5 dollars or more, i would be glad to buy one.

I would gladly pay $10 each for probably at least three more slots. As it is I always find myself wanting to start a new character, but can't bring myself to delete one I have already put 100+ hours into

Not a bad idea to buy extra slots....
BUT
Many people like myself bought extra copies for more storage and to play all 6 main professions plus have s lot left for PVP. With Factions we pay for 4 slots and if we link both chapters we losse 2 slots so now they want to offer us to buy our slots back is kinda F***ed up when we already paid for them.

While I may not have a use for them, other people do. So, I think that meeting a market demand is just fine.
I personally expect them to run at about 1/4 or less the retail price of the game. So, figure $10 or more USD for each slot. Just an assumption on my part.

I'd love to see this implemented. Right now, I can't make quick pvp toons since all my character slots are taken up. Even with 2 more slots being introduced by Factions, I will quickly use them up with an assassin and ritualist. The bottom line is that I cannot create and retain one class primary for each available class in the game while still maintaining a pvp-only slot -- you would need at least 8 + 1 = 9 total slots, which just isn't possible under the current game set-up
Running more than one account isn't a good option either, since more time is required for skill unlocks on both accounts, and item exchanges between the two accounts isn't possible without a second PC.
I'll happily pay the extra $50 for 3 more permanent character slots, and this can easily be implemented via purchased account key. I'd also like to see increased shared Xun-Lai Agent storage with such an upgrade.
