Armor what is the best

I been researching on the forum about this and i have not find anything about it so i had to ask(sorry)
First I saw a guy yesterday waearing a look alike gladiator armor i ask him and he say he got it from grotos
Can someone tell me where is this place. And if this armor is better than the one the armor crafter offer in Drock

This is souther shiver peak, this is where you will find Grotto and Granite, they sell the 15k armor set.

Also, these armor sets are just better looking( i like them better) but are not better at all. They are more for looks and pride.

Stat wise it is no better, they are both max protection. Droks stats are max armor. The groto armor just has a different look but also max. Just as Citadel armor has a different look and FoW has a different look both are also max. As far as protection goes all four places offer the max armor. So if you don't care about the look of your armor, then Droks gives you the best protection for the lowest amount of gold.

Collector armor is very good as you can farm and save up for better armor if you wish, like if your a Ranger and you dont care about the other armor that has 15 armor vs Whatever i go for collector armor. I made over 60k on Collector armor and brought 15k Druid's armor :P

you get grottos after you have so much cash you dont care to spend 60k on a better LOOKING armor, cuiz defence still the same. if you hardly make ends meet (have less then 20k) then get droks and go farming, if you got over 100k then go for Grottos (youre staring at your characters ass few hours a day, might as well have make him eye candy if you got the cash) but the best 1 is FOW armor. you need over 1 000 000g and be ascended and have lots of exp to do the quest

Im saving for fow armor 66 ecto's lol and a few shard's never really gone into Fow or Uw for Ecto's etc Just doing Barrge farming in the Tomb's got a few ecto's there and a few green's R/Mo style

for ranger: my main character is a ranger and the +15 is important. i have 3 droks sets, and 1 Grotto set. To me, the +15vs cold is crucial when doin anything in shieverpeaks (i solo imps alot) and +15 vs fire is good pretty much evrywhere else. i noticed: when doin ToPK, when im in Druids i take more damage from meteors, fire balls, and when im wearing +15 vs fire, i take less damage and burning doesnt last as long, so i dont even need the +8 enegy becase it would just go on more self healing. Same applys to when im farming shieverpeaks (imps or SF, or just doin missions).

1 full Droks set costs about 7-8k (with materials), so figure out where you'll be farming most of the time and buy a set that is convenient.

Edit: as ranger, i made most of my gold in tombs, for this place the vs fire armor is the best, and youre gonna need vs fire armor for the 3 last missions in the game, fire islands. i also salvage the never finishing Raven stuffs and exchange for parchment outside of Sardelak, which sells for 90g each.

NO. It's not the "best". It is the most expensive. It doesn't provide anymore protection than anything you can get from droks. It only looks different and costs a lot more. That doesn't make it the "best".

I just go for Druid's armor as 30 armor vs elemental is alright lol i prefer more engery for Spaming Barrage, with a Zealous bow

^^ heres what i do: if i spam barrage with Zealos Bow, i wear Drakescale (+15 vs fire) cuz zealos bow is enouth, and it protects against MS and fire balls, and burning is not as long
if i spam barrage with Vamp bow (more damage+some self healing if ordres guy is sleeping) i wear Druids

Drakescale does not decrease burn duration.

I'm happy with my Necro's Drok Tormentor's armor dyed black. I mean what else was I going to spend the money on? Potions? Ha!

it's only 1 creature who use's fire attack's i dont need to really spend money for a Extra 15 armor each piece, many people prefer engery over a armor mod.

If we're talking fully PvP-ready PvE Warrior:

Executioner's Helm, Duelist's Helm, Dwarven Helm - Two of each, one with Minor weapon rune, one with Superior.
Lieutenant's Helm - At least one available to switch to against hex-heavy enemies, obtain additional Minor and Superior weapon rune versions as necessary.

Gladiator's Chest

Gladiator's Gauntlets - For fixed-time (i.e. Backbreaker) or no knockdown skills.
Stonefist Gauntlets - For non-fixed-time knockdown skills.

Gladiator's Leggings

Knight's Boots or Ascalon Boots - They both give the same reduction.

For the non-weapon runes - Strength, Tactics, Vigor, Absorption - location doesn't matter, although to keep costs down Vigor and Absorption should not be on the Gauntlets.

can you get more then 1 set of armor infused?
if not which is the best 1 to get infused?
the way i'm taking it on armor the only difference between the 250gp ,1.5k and 15k armor is the look? i'm i correct on this? So the +15 fire(drakescale) for ring of fireb area, +15 cold(lined-fur) shieverpeak area and the +15 lighting( studded leather) for vs musraat elementals or how ever its spelled?
