Farming runs

I have specific farming run that I do and this is to save money for factions not for Ebay. Anyway, I averaged it out that I make about 1k every 10 minutes not all in gold coin drops but salvaging and selling materials or just selling plain drops at the trader. Anyone know of a run thats better than 1k every 10 minutes? If you do drop it here..

Is that code for "hydra farming"? The drop rate there averages about 1K/10 minutes...

I don't know of a run that does better than that though.

after solo farm fow, duo farm uw helps...

I do a bit of all farming areas now, i think the most proffitable by far is solo UW, then perhaps spider cave runs.
After that it goes downhill fast, things like hydras, minos and trolls are very poor cash.

Go down to Port Sledge, set up a runner with Sprint and Balanced Stance, plug all your points into Strength and Tactics and head east toward the water. You'll pick up 1 to 3 Shiverpeak chests (sometimes four if one is set among all the Grawls).

It's painfully easy to do eight to 9 runs an hour, and odds are after three hours you'll have about 50k worth of saleable weapon upgrades and offhand items, plus junk to SS.

It's about a 33k profit, but, unfortunately, since it's so easy the chests nerf quick and you can only do it once every now and then

I've profited about 60k so far doing that and gotten myself two nice staves, a half moon, and a Firey Fell Blade of Warding for my characters. I like doing it to get money for 1.5k armor or when I decide I need some cash to redye my dude.

Like I said though, it's not consistently reliable.

The area in SW Kryta which is in the zone between Fisherman's Haven and Majesty's rest is actually pretty lucrative. Lots of easy-to-kill minos, and the Nightmares often drop about 30 dust per-kill which actually adds up. It's a Mickey Mouse run but it's something different and there is guaranteed cash. You can do it really drunk, which is nice.

Gates of Kryta? Sounds like Gates of Kryta...

I have a spot I do that will make you more money than that. They drop very rare materials and runes. Already found a sup vigor on the first gold drop. Every gold rune drop has been a sup so far no majors. Problem is they are a pain in the ass to kill solo and you have a chance of dying often.

Another spot of mine will take a lot of time to do but is the most profitable thing I've ever seen. 1 run yeilded 300 iron, 300 hides, 500 wood, 4 gold weapons, 6 purples. Only minor runes have dropped so far. Almost forgot to mention 8k in gold drops alone by the end of the run.

The Nightmares there did drop really nice max dmg low req golds before it got nerfed, i think it was because they are rarely killed, but after chinese farmers started on it i think anet sorted it.

UW is profitable, but slow - especially if you try and solo it. There are much quicker ways to earn money. None of which was listed above.

Though, I would like to try the FoW cave run one of these days. Just sounds like fun.

i like the occasional ettins thrown in for a bit of rune farming. best i've ever gotten were major absorption, major vigor, and superior protection, but i keep the faith that one day i'll get some more that are worthwhile. meanwhile, it's an ass ton of worthless minor/major runes.

aside from that, i'm trying to get into the swing of materials hoarding/trading/opportunism.
