Would people pay for skill caps?
Holy Arch
Well, the other day, my friend and my self decided we would try to clear perdition rock with 2. As we were fighting, we got the idea to do skill cap runs for people who want their skills capped without effort or unsuccessful PUGs. The question i am asking is: Would someone really pay to get their skill capped?

Best way to answer it is to go to Ember and ask if anybody wants it.
I'd imagine yes.
I'd imagine yes.

Yes definitely. Lower levels that want to have their hard to reach elites earlier in the game would. They've obviously been run to drok's/desert and what not. You'd be surprised how low a level character i've seen in the Ring of Fire Islands.

Some people do seem to be willing to pay for everything. (I'd rather try something with henches 200 times before ever thinking about paying someone to do it for me, but that's totally beside the point.)
The tricky situation at Perdition is that the boss may or may not spawn where or when you go. If you charge by the cap, you're hurt; if you charge by the hour your "client" is hurt.
You would have to take only clients doing a particular cap at a time, however. Maybe. Because if your group is 6 people capping different skills, will you still be able to guarantee that last skill when your group has dwindled to 3 after others have left, paid for and gotten their skill?

I saw some players offering money for skill caps in drok's.
I'm sure you'd find some takers -- whether the time and effort would be worth the return is another question.

the real prob is that they have to survive to get to the boss to do the cap. lol Most caps are fairly easy to do if you do them when your suppose too. I mean how hard is it really to get to lev 20. It really is not that big a deal or shouldn't be. so they should have no problem capping something, BUT in some rare cases you will get the nut that wants to try fire islands with a lev 3 or something... lol oh well. if you can leach em for some gold more power to ya...

IMO, no. Using henchies is as good as partying with a bunch of humans without the exception of griefers and leavers. Anyone can skill cap with just henchies and do it flawlessly.

why do people like henches as much? yes of curse no leavers, no AFK, no Morans, but i though that the point of online games is to do missions with other poeople (even PUGs.........). if you play alone throu the whole game, ill just run my X-BOX... i understand solo for good drops, but why would anyone want to finish game alone?
Zui
Only people who would probably pay for this are people who've ebayed gold(and simply clueless), or people who want to run their lvl 3 in ascalon arena and "own" everyone with their superior skills and gear.
Everyone else would probably just get a slot in a PUG or take hench.
Dbout you'd make enough off of it to justify the time spent.

I seen them asking in forge, my response. Grab henchies go cap.

I do group, but taking henchies is much less of a hassle and I don't waste game time hanging around trying to group.
I applaud Anet for offering the henchies--it attracted people like me to GW who would otherwise have passed.
Cherno
There are a couple of people in the Services section of the forums offering skill capping services.
Josh
There's a Skill Capping Service in the 'Service' forum section.

Try getting Feast of Corruption with Henchmen. It's possible, but once you failed because of the hench AI you don't wanna do it again, because it takes long. Don't know if there's other skills that are hard to capture, but this one is.

Like a person said above, the problem comes when the boss doesn't spawn. I tried capping healing hand with my N/mo for 10 times and the bosses didn't spawn at all.

Why would I pay someone when I can just take henchies or get guild members that want to cap?
