Question about 55monk build

I quit the game at the end of last summer and recently I got back to it. I have a 55monk and I used to use him for UW farming. It appears that Protective Bond has been nerfed. At level 16, I lose 3 mana everytime I get hit. It used to be 2. With the 20% chance of +1 prot, I used to be able to get -1 mana per hit. Now that does not seem to work anymore. How does a 55 monk work now?

and u need an Spitefull spirit/simpathetic visage necro

sorry bout spelling im not too good with that and also im not sure if its balthazarrs spirit or aura i get mixed up
