It seems like a day doesn't pass when I don't see someone spamming to buy a req 8-9, 15^50 hand axe in Droknars.
Are they popular, or is it just a couple of people looking for that skin?

IMO, I don't really like the skin of a Hand axe. But thre are some people who favors them which would explain why you saw someone trying to buy one.

It's an axe that kinda looks like a sword - How can you go wrong? And they take most dye colors pretty well, which is a plus.

Not really a demand for them over much else, except of course rare skinned axes like dwarven axes, serpent axes, possibly still sephis axes and sickles... But try getting a decent one of those eh?

Well they got really popular when a couple of them went into auction here on Guru and there were fake bids of some hundred thousand plats. Many people seeing those huge bids (they were all fake) started thinking they were a rare skin or whatever, hence the bigger request for them. A req 8 15>50 is worth not more than 50k, just like any other nice skin axe.
