The Dumbest Things You've Seen A Profession Do

There are a lot of pretty amusing stories here. This has already been mentioned, but I think one of the most annoying things I've seen when playing through the later mission/quest in the game is getting in a group with another monk (I'm a Mo/Me) and seeing that monk go down faster than a bulemic at an all you can eat buffet.

Other Monk: <dead>
Me: I can't rez you...you keep dying.
Other Monk: Rez me, rez me.
Me (and others): Your playing a 55 monk aren't you?
Other Monk: No, I swear....I don't know what's happening.
Rest of group: Yeah, right....your a 55 monk you idiot.

Yah I monked in RA and have ran into a 55 before it was amusing cause the warrior on my team was of course targeting the monk first and I was yelling over team chat "Warrior get off the monk!" It took maybe 3 minutes of me yelling before the war gave up and went for a mesmer.

We also faced this warrior that was yelling "HAHAH U CANT DO SHIT TO ME!!!!!" and then proceeded to get killed by the 4 of us lol sadly the war continued lecturing us on his "awesomeness" as he was lying on the ground before we warped out

Agree'd 100%. The thing I hate by far the most is when im playing a warrior (never tank, always heavy dmg output), and the monk gets 1-2 guys attacking him, takes off. Put simply, your not healing, your only taking damage, and because you run, it takes 2-3 times longer at least for me to kill whats hitting you. Exceptions are around, such as being hit by 5+ enemies - this does a little to much dmg for a squishy to tank, even temperarily, but for the above reason, I almost never run while playing a monk, and rairly when playing another caster.

I of course get out of aoe's though, unlike many I have seen...

Book/gear trick isn't what I meant - and not what I think of as a tank - the most screwed up I remember was and Ele/Necro charging into battle with a sword.

People just don't know how to play them yet. That'll probably change as people get experience and see it done right

dumbest thing ive seen was a Warrior carrying a wand (that doesnt go right)
and another thing ive seen a ranger/mo with a sword (this is getting wierd)

It is understandable if that warrior use wand to charge adrenaline, not to deal damage.
And that R/Mo, uhm, maybe he uses -5e to counter e-denial

Necro Battery using blood renewal after 3 BIP.

Or the related one: going out with another healer and constantly having to heal them because they're too busy fighting and stop paying attention to their health and everyone else's.

I was helping a couple of friends with THK a few days ago and picked up a second monk. Once the mission starts, the monk runs up to talk to the king(seems like a smart monk). Then he proceeds to run and aggro every single group that we fight along the way to the fort. When asked why he does that, the response I got was "When I play with my guild, they ask me to tank for them." Since we were "lucky" enough to have a warrior in our group, we all asked him to stop and he complies.

Fast forward to camping the king, this monk actually grabs the torch and runs outside to pull the jade/mursaat/white mantle as they come near the fort. Later I learned from a friend that was observing the monk's skills that he only casts healing breeze and reversal of fortune.

At lease we still completed the mission.

In Hell's we were crushed by the titans and imps because someone attacked too many of them. The minion master(d'oh!) and monks were left.. then the minion master leaves and the fiends start to assault the monks(who had low hp). Our whole party was wiped out because this minion master could not stay and let the monks rebirth..

We were pretty close to completing the mission.. and were at the part where the visage of the vizier pops up.

SS Necro during SF farming

I was the MM, I notice he's using Morgriff's set (Death Magic).
I ask if he's an SS to be sure, he says "yes".
I get suspicious, so I click him to see what skills he uses.

His skill bar looked like this:
Conjure Phantasm
Blood Ritual
Dark Pact
Vampiric Gaze
Crippling Anguish

As said before it's about charging up adrenaline from distance, which is used quite often in GvG. It can take you only 8 seconds to charge up your adrenaline all the way with that method (wand with +10% IAS added to an IAS skill).

Anyway, it's not smart tu use it in RA or HoH. Only some situations in GvG.

i have a few, all bashing warriors (i dun like warriors)

first, i wuz farming sf, me being the mm of teh group. this warrior (w/n) keeps summuning lvl 3 bone horrors, and i yelling at him "YOU F**KING DUMBASS, THATS MY JOB!" later on, he dies, so i tell everyone to leave him. he rage quits, then whispers me, because apparently i "wasnt doin my job."

again, same siuation, cept this time, the warriors keep using consume corpse and necrotic transversal, thinkin hes all badass cuz he can tele all around the place. and again, im screamin at him taht hes takin my corpses, so i cant do my job. he replies that mm are useless, and horrors and fiends wont help the group out at all. the funny thing was, hed poison ppl, then sum necro would pt him, and hed scream fo a mend ailment, wunderin why hes poisond in the first place. damn noob warriors....

finally, i met this paladin in one of the desert missions, and hes starts mission by sayin, "im a paladin guys, so let me do my job" hes the only warrior, so we hope he knos wut hes doin. first group comes, so he runs in, aggros ever single monster in teh area, then runs back to us. we're all like "WTF DUDE??!?!" he kept doin this, because apparently thats wut paladins were supposed to do. then he gets body locked, and dies. he starts yellin "why didnt i get any heals?!?!" we informed him that paladins were supposed to heal themselves, and left speachless, he rage quit.....

and taht is why i hate warriors........even tho there are a few good ones, most r idiot noobs
