My friends and i decided to just wander around the UW doin random crap and whatever quests we could. as we approached the behemoths, we encountered a nightmare who dropped a rare item. we were all laughtin after that. and still unable to get past behemoths....

in all my time down there, i have never even seena purple

Heh, i got a pretty good gold flame artifact from the first spider i EVER killed in UW, and a gold idol from one of the nightmares. I swear, i get more golds than ectos down there....

oh, btw i remembered that once I was doing a duo UW and a 55 got a gold from DARKNESS!!! YES!!! That's just amazing lol darkness only drops crap... but a gold from it :O

got a gold bone staff from one of them. as far as i know, every monster has potential to drop a gold, the thing that varies, is how much potential

I think the rate of rare drops was slightly increased recently, I get 1-2 rares each time I go to uw

Heh, and I mean that in the nicest and most un-offensive way possible.

I get jack crap, few purps every now and then... And of course the occasional Ecto. The only thing I can really "brag" about is that my runs generally pay for themselves, even if I get killed right at the Darknesses...

Yesterday in UW I did 3 runs and got 6 golds, 3 ecto. My partner also got a rare fellblade req 9 from the smites and I got a rare longsword from the graspings which turned out to be crap.

Dying nightmares normally drop non max stuff, thats why yours was a bit crap too.
Btw, I would cover up the names in that screen shot before it gets taken off.
