Hi,
I searched the forum, read the FAQ, and tried the Wiki (but it was down), and didn't see the answer to this question-
At what level can you start adding members to your party? Two friends and I are playing, but at our low levels, we can only have 2 in party.
Thank you.
More than 2 members in party

Depends on in which world and town you are. Eventually you can have 8 party members to quest with.
In pre-sear only two can.

I has nothing to do with your level, but where you are.
In pre-searing you can only have 2 in party.
Post searing starts with party of 4, then 6 as you move through the storyline and eventually 8.
(now someone will follow up this post telling you exactly where the party size increases, but the names of the towns won't matter to you until you actually get there, at which point you will see that the party size can be increased. LOL)

From memory:
Ascalon City (Post Searing) up until Yak's Bend = max 4 party members
Yak's Bend up until Dragon's Lair = max 6 party members*
Dragon's Lair and upward = max 8 party members
*Temple of the Ages in Northern Kryta is the only place that allows max 8 party BEFORE the Dragon's Lair
What she said is true for map-warping. The exception is that if you start a full party from a place with higher cap, say, Temple of the Ages (max 8) and travel by foot ALL THE WAY back to a place with lower cap, say, Ascalon City (max 4), AND none of your party members leave, then yes, you can have a 8-men party even though the cap is 4. If anyone leaves, however, you won't be able to add replacements until you are under the current cap.

Ah, ok. And what is "searing" exactly?

The Searing is when the Charr used magical powers to rain down fire and destruction upon Ascalon, Destroying most of Ascalon and breaching the Wall that had held the Charr at bay.
The Searing takes place when you enter the academy. You go in and Ascalon is still green and beautiful. When you complete the mission you are in post searing Ascalon where everything has been destroyed.
Pre-sear is like a tutorial and post sear is where the meat of the game is.
Poison Ivy
^And "Post Searing" is 2 years after the event.
There is also Alliance Battle - 12 vs 12

Note, this is just what i heard, couldn't be arsed to try it out.

We tried doing Titan's Source the other day, 6 of us left from yaks and I ran to Grendich with my mesmer, expecting to be able to go into town and maintain the 6 people and switch skills.
When we went into town, it broke us all apart into individuals. We had to restart at yaks and fight all the way there instead of running part of it.![Frown](../Img/frown.gif)
Although my guildie told me last night that he figured out a way to make it work, something about going all the way to the zone where the quest is, and then everyone dies, they will respawn in the town where the quest is supposed to start, but all together in the full party. Only problem is that is the party dies, you usually respawn at the entrance to a zone or at a res shrine. Going to have to check into that a little further.

So its true then. Not a big problem for Defend Kryta, you've just gotta fight there instead of stopping at Bergen.
Last Day Dawns will suck though, never again will we see 7/4 in that Frontier Gate
