If you read the attunement description carefull it says that upon casting the spell 30% of the energy is given back to you. it does not change the base cost of the spell. This has drawbacks, as you cant use a 15nrg spell at 10 nrg even if yu have ele attunement on, but advantages is that aura heals for full.
