Little Girls Cape?

Hey I was exploring a little around Pre-Searing and I found this sort of camp thing with a couple of Ascalon people and a merchant.
This is where it is on the map.
Here's what it looks like.

When I looked at what the merchant had he had a little girls cape for 100g and it said it was a quest item. I bought it (just in case I dind't go back there) and now I don't know what it's for and it won't let me sell it again. Does anyone know what it's for?

find gwen outside ascalon and give it to her. Also give her 10 red flowers, a new flute and she will give you a tapestry shred. It is also a quest item, and it doesnt do anything. yet.....

Give it to gwen.

Ya I tried that but she didn't take it. Do I have to get the flute and flowers first?

I thought there was no specific amount of flowers? I had to give her upwards of 40 or more when I did it.

Once she gives you the tapestry shred, it won't be any use for right now its broken quest.

Been like this ever since game was released.

Gwenn never accepted anything but flowers from my monks. Not the flute and not the cape. Neither have I got any tapestry while I was playing monk. She just took all my flowers for granted.

I don't think it works if you're a monk. You need to do the 'Find Gwen's Flute' quest before you can give her the items. As far as i'm aware monk primaries get a different quest to that one.

Ah, is it ten? I always gave her one of everything, and she would never give me a shard.
