What's your plan? Proph Char first or new Cantha Char?
Laibeus Lord
So what's your plan?
Upon release, headstart or not, will you use your Prophecies char first?
or
Create a new Cantha char?
And why?

Me,
Prophecies char first.
I want to finish Cantha quick and know the place by heart, and help our alliance to have the advantage. Since it will only take a few days and it will be very hard to be in the top again, or atleast get a town and see what the exclusive-town content are.

prophecies chars for the headstart then new chars when my retail copy arrives.why?no choice i have 4 completed chars and they didn't give us the extra slots in the pre-order key.
Starsky-sama
-yes on early access.
-use pvp slot to start a factions charac.

For the headstart, Prophechies. Even though I have an available slot.
After that I'll start up my new Canthan characters.

I have plans to kill one of my current characters and reroll her as a Factions character. I also plan to start a new Prophesies character (because I didn't like the look of the new characters for that build). I'll probably do them both at the same time so I can switch out when I feel like it.
fiery
New assassin .
yangster
During the headstart I'll use my Prophecies characters and try to unlock as much new skills as I can. Once I get the copy, I'll start playing the Ritualist.
Sidra
Prophecies... really diggin the ranger armor and want to get myself some. After unlocking all towns that i can, i'll get myself an assassin (female, even if anorexic, look better than scary males. unless proven differently by armor choices). I also like the monk armor. Either way, i'll take all my chars through factions eventually. I'll take the week (after that first monday) off (because i'm missing a field trip for school that i hate) so i'll be playing then and hopefully will get to lots of places that most people wont have the biggest chance to get to and be leet... for like 3 hours... hehe. But I hope i'm on all week of the launch. This will be so cool... that it will be cool.
Nevin
I really don't know at this point, I've been planning on assassins; But GW just fails to provide them with good armor. I'm thinking of making a new Ranger, or going with my level 20 necro and getting some of the awesome new armor they have.
arcanemacabre
I will more than likely take over my Prophecies character for the head start. This did bring up an interesting question in my head... If we say, get a few pieces of armor and/or weapon(s) from Cantha, then go back to Tyria, will we still have access to that character after the head start but before the retail key is added?
LordDeArnise
Good question, since I don't know...whether I'll take a Prophecies character to Cantha or make a new Factions charrie during the head start, I have yet to decide. If I decide on the former, the first one that enters will be my necro. If it is the latter, then it'll be an assassin since I have more skills unlocked for that class than I do with the Ritualist.
Tru Master D
On the headstart I'm probably gonna be using my prophecies characters. Once the game is released and I get my own copy I will most likely make a new assasin and ritualist and try out the new factions campaign.
SnipiousMax
I'm planning on playing through with my Ranger. Cause I imagine there will be a million Ritualists and Assassins for the first while. But truth be told, I'll probally be switching back and forth between all of them. I'll be making a Rit, and remaking my mesmer with the two new slots.
boxcarracers052
I'll be moving my Warrior through Cantha during the early start, then starting an Ele/Assassin once I get my 2 extra slots. I'm thinking Meteor, Death's Charge, Inferno, Fireball, Phoenix, Recall, Meteor Shower, Meteor, repeat
Or possibly a Monk/Ritualist Protection summoner.

Cantha character first. I'll forego the headstart and wait until EB stops holding my CE box hostage for the +2 to character slots.
Using a Prophecies character to rush through (at level 20, max armor) would make it boring for me, especially when I've had thoughts of dropping the game entirely out of boredom. =\

Definitely making a Canthan monk.
I might delete my PvE Warrior and remake her with a canthan face.

I really dig the new Warrior armor, so I guess my Ser Sandor "The Hound" Clegane ought to get it pronto....and wreak havoc on those lowly Luxons
EDIT: Anyone knows if it's possible to buy Factions key only online?

Proph. char first. Why? I Know their skills set and I know how to use them, they also have sup vigor/absorb green/gold weapons/shields so I know they can handle what Factions throws at them.
Once my proph char learns the do's and don'ts of Cantha I will make some Canthians.

First I'll blast over to Cantha with all my Proph chars and buy out some new armour. Then I'll see if I can find a profession change quest so I can buy up the skills for the R/A prebuild on my PvE ranger. Then I'll prolly check around the high lvl areas and see what I can see. Finally I transfer all my crap off of my mule character, delete the mule and bust out a new Ritualist. Then I buy the game the next day without sleeping a wink and come back home to bust out a new Me/A and then start unlocking some beastly monk skills for PvP so I can start some newage monking with Spell Shield and the such...

wow, cool and great plans.
it seems that the majority will opt to run the proph chars first for the headstart then start a cantha char after.
very interesting, there should be enough players to party with then who will come from Tyria.

Prophecies characters first. I think my mesmer will actually be the one to go first, mainly because I've promised her the first set of new 15k armour. Once I've seen what are the common faces and hair styles running around for ritualist, I'll make my rit. I'm also going to make a ranger or assassin at some stage but not immediately.
Miikka
I'm currently making a new prophecies char which i will lvl to 20, ascend and get an elite from dragons lair. I will continue using that char in factions.
lady kesha
I am thinking that I will take my Ranger over (I absolutely love the armor in the pictures on the GW site and want to see if its 1.5 or 15k armor, if its 15k my ranger is gonna work LOTS to get it) and make a new char (I have an open slot still)... not sure if I'll make assassin (cuz of the way she looks) or a Ritualist, might even just make a new Monk there. Either way, I can't wait for the game to come out!
Poison Ivy
Cantha A/Rt
To get all the A/Rt skills
Then get my other Prophecies char into Cantha and get all the skills avalable, till I unlock em all ^^

First I'll pass the Cantha campaign with my monky, then A/? and pass both campaigns on that charr.
Opeth11
I'm making a Mesmer and charging through Cantha with my beautiful clothing!
xxSilhouette
I will probley make my new characters right away But i may go exploring with my ranger a little before i do anything with the new characters. Just depends on if im in that mood for a new character or if i just want to explore
Kais Unduli
I'll cross over first with my prophecies toons, and then once I get them some armor and some new weapons I'll build up my assassin and ritualist. Should be tons of fun.
Mordakai
Assuming Amara ascends on time, I'll be taking her in first, see if I can pick up some Berserker armor.
Then I'll make up a Ritualist/Ranger and start exploring Cantha from the beginning!

i"m going to come in with my Monk, as I see there will be a real need for healers, even more so in Factions, where the new characters are going to get a lot of use because they are new.
Once I've done a bit, I'll probably come up with a Ritualist and play between my Monk and the Ritualist. Then, after that, I've got an ele, a necro, and a warrior...

well im locked into a canthan character for the pre-live day.
i havent got an accended prophesis char, so no, i have to go the canthan way.
mind you.....if i find my warrior/ele can accend in cantha fine, especially just using her ele skills, i might just rebirth my ele/mes and mt necro.ranger in cantha....
but mainly i am hopeing i can see the new guild halls, assuming there are any.
i managed to crape together enough for one befor the factions live so that when everyone starts wanting a Canthan hall cause its *leet* or *cool* lol, i wont have to die of shock when the celestial prices go skyrocketing again...
*and i realy hope they come thru on in hall guild store....would prefer a town stash and a hall stash that were seperate (town not needing a cape/hall to use) but hehe..will be molified if theres just Hall stash...*

Honestly, bringing your maxed out lvl 20 to do lvl 3+ quests makes the game pointless, A.net stated that lvl progression in factions will be considerably faster then Prophecies. And remember that the best experience you get out of the game is the first time you beat/finish it. So why ruin your fun over the change to be able to finish 4 days sooner?
I personally plan on making a warrior with the cantha skins and enjoy the new storyline. I have lots of gold and materials saved already, just in case i decide to go for the 15k after or need some quick cash to buy that new set of armor in that new town. But other than that, i plan to enjoy the game. AFTERWARDS i will bring my other characters over and equip them with factions armor...saddly most of the factions armor looks much better compared to the Prophecies counterpart for warriors and necros (which is a good thing)
PS: Starting with a P char is like using a trainer for D2 and getting your guy to 99 as well as max every skill before you even start the game.

I will make 2 new chars, Rit and Ass. When I played enough Factions Ill go back to monk and switch a bit around all my chars
