I'm guessing this is an FAQ, i searched forum and found link to this pic:

It's still correct, only the icon of Obsidian Shards have been changed.

The banana shaped things are shards? i was guessing they were some form of tusks

That's an old screenshot.

Shards and Ectos nothing more than the regular materials used to craft.
