PC on -5 energy bow

hey i know monks use -energy items for e-denial and stuff, but must this be a focus or canit be a bow too? cuz i found a -5 energy bow, is it worth anything?

merch food, -5 energy bow is worthless because they want the -7 energy from the -5 axe or sword and -2 energy cities of ascalon quest
