I felt there was lack of character development in prophecies' PvE story.
We were introduced with 5 heroes/heroine: Devona, Aiden, Cynn, Mhelos, and a female necromancer(can't remember her name at the moment), but I felt nothing for them. What I felt was they are just henchmen with special name...that's about it. They were only used in box arts, cinamatics, and one or two side quests.
In Faction's well-made cinamatics, I see this one nifty assasin(forgot her name); and it gave me an impression that she is gonna do something big . Then during Faction preview event, I see her standing beside rest of henchmen .
I like GuildWars, and I'm into both PvE and PvP. Just thought it would be nice if I see some improvement in PvE department; because I really like a story that make me care about in-game special characters =).
Just my thoughts
PvE story driven character development

I want rurik to be henchmen. When i get bored i party with him and run outside and get him killed.
But he got himself killed
But he got himself killed

Well.. in Faction's Cinamatic...wasn't that like 200 years ago?
But yeah... more henchman and NPC personality is needed. thought there are other thread about it, but it is still a good call.

Which is also exactly why those grieving cinematics when (for the purpose of spoilers won't mention who exactly) NPC's die seem so corny. We don't feel anything for these characters.

I felt sorry when that little dwarf fella charged in and sacrificed himself to the Mursaat, to make way for the party in the Iron Mines (fact check?).
