Scammers?

EDIT or something
pmed me about scamming someone online when i never did. he says he is part of anet support crew. he talks like one but is he the real thing? theres nothing special about his font color or size. he says he knows my account and every loggin time but wont tell me my own account name... he also said that i will be banned if i dont refund "EDIT" his cash back since i presumably scammed him by selling him a villnars claw instead of a bortaks bone cesta... "EDIT" pmed me telling me the time saying it was 7am pacific time which was a time i was asleep. now he says he will ban me if i dont give back 55k + ectos which i dont have in any of my accounts.

someone please help me tell if these guys are scammers.

he also isn't online 24 7

Scam. ANet doesn't get hands-on about that kind of "scam" stuff, and I'm frankly glad for it. Contact ANet support about him, and edit his name out of your post.

take screen shots and file a report ... but in the report (well the one i send about a scammer) ANet says they will review the logs and take the requred actions... but it's a start

If he really is with ANet support and he can see logs and know all that stuff, why doesn't he take the money and give it back to the other guy?
I mean... he should have the power.

But, since he doesn't have any power like that.
It's a scam.

SCAM ARTIST!!!

when you report someone (for ANYTHING) to Anet Support, they specify that you will NEVER get ANY refunds, and will not be posted of how the scammer was punished, so no way they contacted you in game, especially considering the scammed guy doesnt have a screenshot, and your account was logged off... max they do for trade ripoff is banning account for few days (not even sure, cuz when you klick accept you see the items offered, so its not that much of a scam as of other persons inattention), and no way they spam that kind of stuff to players

Gaile Gray has said time and time again that they do not refund scammed/lost items or money. Once it's gone, it's gone.

Also, a-net would contact you via e-mail (or so I would assume, I've never actually bothered scamming someone). Pretty obviously a scam. A pretty poor one, at that.
