Also, I seem to recall Galie mentioning in one chat log (can't remember when, so sorry no link) that complex emotes involving the interaction between two people would probably not happen since they are very difficult to do (different classes have different body shapes and different heights you would have to take into account). As such, a /hug emote probably won't happen anytime soon.
Same thing with a /kiss emote, unless it was sort of an "blown kiss" (kissing your palm and then blowing the kiss to somebody else).

I was going to post a thread about this, but has anyone else noticed the action of some of the NPC's in the Kurzick and Luxon settlements? They make hand gestures, it looks to me like a /talk emote. Can't see much use of it for us really, but... it looks quite nice

I do recall Gaile saying something about "indirect" 2 person emotes ie. not visibly interacting, but coming up on the emote register as "Xxxxx hugs Yyyyy" or somesuch.
Personally, a /shrug emote would serve me well :P

Um, there's already an emote where you can shake your fist at someone.
I don't think an emote where you can flip someone off will be appropriate. Imagine the number of people using that emote in Marhan's Grotto or other places where people like to rant, rave, and flame people off. The same goes with a fart emote, as that can be abused too. To me, both of those emotes, when used excessively to tick another person off can be subject to Anet's disciplinary action.
A similar thing can be said to hug and kiss emotes; as that will just bring out people with male characters--especially male warriors--who will just pimp on each and every female character out there.
That said, if there's one emote that would be appropriate for Cantha, it'll be a /meditate or /yoga emote.
