I've farmed using mesmer skills (Channeling, Arcane Echo, a Mantra, etc.)
I've farmed using a warrior skill (Balanced Stance)
I've farmed using ranger skills (Serpent's Quickness, etc.)
I've farmed using just elementalist skills.
All worked.
But none of my solo farming efforts to use monk skills went well. E.g., hex removal or condition removal is pretty pointless against most mobs.
