More "Real" Bosses?
OverlordTyrael
I for one would like to see some more high level "dungeons" with "real" bosses such as Glint and the Lich King instead of merely larger versions of existing creatures with a little aura around them. Oh, and please make bosses drop something useful every once in a while -_-.

Can I just point at the bosses that drop greens, or prehaps the giant metal contraption at the botom of Sorrow's Furnace?
But, um, yeah, a Boss is usually reserved for the endgame. Anything else is just a slightly more powerful roadblock.

I would like to see more of an XP/item reward from bosses than say, one green.
I'm not saying that there aren't any, just that it would be nice to have more.

This isn't a standard RPG, it's a CORPG. Even if you dont agree with the CO part, ANet doesn't have to make it a regular RPG.

Gee that sounds an awful lot like Dungeons and Dragons........
There are a hand full of end mission bosses worth fighting, but overall, this game is about Wars, Thus the name is Guild Wars, not Dungeons and Dragons (Big end Duengon Bosses).
I can see there being merit to having a few more random super creatures, but there are some already in the game, They just arn't little caves in the side of every cliff that says "Dungeon 4", and a boss at the end of each.
The big challenge in Guild Wars is other players, not Bosses at the end of a hundred dungeons......

I do agree that most bosses in Gw are not really impressive. End level boss are a tradition is pretty much all console games, and they are not just one "more-powerful" bad guy, but one that have the enviroment (or their lair) set up the way they like it, and usually require a special way to beat them, not to mention they are usually lot bigger as well.
One of my favorit concept boss mob is the Beholder.. Where in a large chamber, there would be one large central eyes, with many other eye stalk poping in and out of the ground (differnt eye stalk have differnt proffession and skills) You must balance and/or split your group between attacking the central eyes and the smaller supportive eye stalks...
So yes, I will agree that there should be bigger and badder bosses, IF there are more higher level dungeons.... but it would be the Mission that I want to see them in. But I am not too sure about the rewards....

I agree with the idea of adding cool new strategy bosses to the end of missions, not ith the drops.
