I didn't see anything when I looked before, but I was just curious what people thought about idle play time. By that I mean being logged into the game, but not playing. In the last 6 months I've logged over 600 hours between all 4 of my characters, but I think at least 200-300 of those hours is just idle time where I got up from the computer and never closed out of the game. I never really thought about it until the other day when a message popped up and said, "You've been playing for 3 hours. Shouldn't you take a break?"
If I'm doing it then I'm sure others are as well and I wonder does it put much more load on Anet servers when people are just idle instead of exiting?

Probably 5-10% of my total play time was AFK. But I see what you mean, it isn't always accurate when it says "You have been playing for _ hours. Please take a break." It would be more accurate if it said "You have been logged on for _ hours. Please take a break." ArenaNet always assumes too much. (j/k)

Ive gotten to the point to where I only log on for social purposes or to help someone out. Other than that im doing other things and occasionally checking on gw to see whats going on.

heh I'm nearing 1500 hours and I'd say 100 of it at max is AFK time. Although I've been playing since early last June.
