Gratz on getting your account unlocked. You should be a lawyer or something.
Jagflame
Gratz, I'm sure your guild members are happy too.
Hard work pays off, it's a good thing you stuck to getting it back.

You should get a pin or a cokeplay item or something.
Opeth11
Haha, that is priceless. May that forever be in your heart, General Typhus.

Congrats, recently Ricebox was unbanned too!

This brings up the important question of why so many players have been "blocked in error" recently.
General Typhus
I can't think of anything. I was farming FoW quite a bit though.
Phaern Majes
Maybe you sold some shards/ectos to an ebayer? Who knows grats though.
leprekan
Gratz.
I honestly don't think there is a pattern causing the bans. I was banned less than 2 weeks ago (got it unbanned as well) and I don't even farm at this point. If they were going to ban me for farming they would have nailed me last June when I was solo monking 100 plus ecto a week. I was banned after buying a 5k shield in LA. So if anyone sees a pattern in the Anet tea leaves feel free to pass it on to me.

Someone said sometihng about the -50HP Cesta from the CoA quest in the other thread. Maybe a farmer bought that from you, and that got linked back. There were a lot of bans from the Troll Farmers out of Drok's, and those were 55 builds.
It's possible, even though I'd hate to think so.

i still don't think you should post it here. its not allowed afaik

I want to just know how Anet 'accidentally' bans the wrong account. Really..
JiggyFly
In retrospect it just wasn't very logical for Anet to make a big red "Ban Player" button...hey maybe that's why the prices reset someone accidently hit the "Reset Merchant Prices" button.
coldplay
grats to you.
wondering is this possible to sue A-net? did we give up the right to sue when we agree to EULA?

HawkofStorms
Yeah you did coldplay. Besides, what could you sue them for? Distress? A.net is technicially giving you a service by allowing you to play on their servers, which can be revoked at any time.
Anyway, congrats on getting your account back. I'm sure I'd freak if that happened to me.

It's good that Anet listens people after for example banning someone. I was little worried if they can just ban and make a mistake accidentally but don't fix it.

Now you should be banned on Guru. Grats.
Big_Iron
This is the third person I've seen banned in error today. I find it pretty disturbing. I understand that nothing in infallible, but this still bothers me. I posted in another thread that I will often give away items to random low level players. Will Anet assume that I'm eBaying these items since I'm getting nothing in return?

He’s like the righteous man Job. Here we are falsely accusing him of badness, and yet we are the ones at fault!
Maybe their "easy button" from Staples has a random effect?

As a for-instance, lets say that I have a swimming pool in my backyard. I post a sign on it saying "not responsible for accidents." That doesn't protect me from lawsuits.
It can - but not necessarily - work in my favor as a way to mitigate damages but the "not responsible" sign would not protect me from lawsuits. Even if I asked every guest to sign a release from damages, there would be no bar to lawsuits. (However, it would sure as heck make it more difficult for the guests to win, I admit).

i hope no one ever gets banned by accident, it's a scary thing and i don't want to go through it

What's worrisome is that you might do something innocent that gets you banned, like buying from the wrong person or accepting/giving an item for free. How are you supposed to tell what's okay and who's okay?
Sir Skullcrasher
so A-Net has been banning peoples for no reason? I'm going to be paranoid now since i don't want to get banned by them.
Count to Potato
Your taking this too far, its just a game
