Factions OR Prophecies cosmetic altering
AlyssaMarcia
Ok Ok, some of you guys might see this as compeletely useless. I would like to be able to change the looks of a current character to have a hairstyle and face only available to the factions campaign. I will be merging with factions and dont see why this shouldn't be allowed. I didnt have a good selection with those UGLY hair styles for the female monk in Prophecies and now I HAVE TO MAKE A NEW CHARACTER TO GET THEM???
-Loki-
They've said they want to add an NPC that will allow you to change your hair, however, it's not really a primary concern with some more glaring issues that need resolving (like reconnects).
ixg
still, would be nice
Mister_Smiley
well its good to know that their working on it.

I dont think its useless. I was thinking about this the other day. If they said they want to add an npc that will do this it probally wont take long. Never have I seen a dev team fix bugs so fast and add more stuff into the game world as these ones do.

I would prefer changing face over changing hair. Some faces look really realistic in factions and just like barbie puppets in prophecies. -.-
Y.T.

This discussion is going on since the GW game is out.
Which makes me sad because i came back to GW yesterday and they stil haven't added some way to change hair/looks.
My Necromancer needs an overhaul since over a year now.
Changing looks is one of the most anticipated features a long time now..

"Fast" is definitely long since out the window on this issue, since as previously mentioned this has been talked about since right after Chapter 1 came out.
Merely having a "hair stylist" is a very stupid and incomplete way to to do it, though. You should have access to change each and every aspect of your appearance - not just hair or face.

One of the few aspects that made SWG a good MMORPG. You had Image Designers that could change everything except your race/name.
To ask for a NPC that changes all design options for big cash shouldn't be too much to ask for. But then the players ask for this since ever and nothing changed.
In other MMO's without look-change-options it was always said "not possible because of account/game engine/whatever problems."
Everything is fixable, so far anet/NC did a very good job with the GW games, one should think they manage this little detail.

I think a hair and face changing NPC would be fine, anything more would be overkill. Unless they allowed you to change your height as well maybe.
Metanoia
I wouldn't mind a "special head-wear" NPC. Aka make-up. Now don't look at me like that... I just want to fit in with all my Kurzick buddies.

Sex change ftw! xD
*ahem* I wished they added a hair changiest, because I hate my ranger's hair(and it glitches with my cape)

I'd love to change the face and hair on my female monk from Tyria, at least in factions female monks got some decent hair styles and faces.
generik
Yeah, seconded.
Some of the new asiatic looking faces for monks look really nice. On the other hand the new ele faces does absolutely nothing for me

No ingame hairdresser please. I would be changing my hair every day, and waste all my money on it, like I already do on my cape
I would like to be a small chubby monk chick, though. That would keep the harrassers of my back.

I agree with hair changing, but face changing?.. sorry but thats a little too Sci-fi for me.

Please don't play that card here, it won't work.

i don't see anything wrong with face/hair changing. would be handy and a good goldsink.

Hair, hair color, skin color I can see, face, no.

The customer is king. So if a big % wants it, then aNET (seeing how they comply to the wished of their customers) will do it. But to a certain extent.

They might also think that some people have had enough of there char looks, and decide to make another one. Based on exactly the same professions. This means that the pre-ascalon and pre-Cantha arreas don't get ghosttowns after sometime, when sales of propecies and factions will become lower.
Just some random thoughs...

I can understand being able to change your hair style/color, but being able to change your face is a bit too far. my $0.02

I really thought this would be a great thing to add here in this post of mine.... I want long hair for a monk like the female rangers and warriors have. I mean what the heck those are butch ego's where short hair is warented and yet the more feminine caregiver healer monk ego doesn't get the femine long hair??? I want my character to look like me is there somehting wrong with that?
CorstedPirate
More hair options would be good just to start, but yeah ingame hair dressers and skin treatments would be cool. Changing your face, no I think that face and character height should be permanent. But hair color/style and skin lightening/darkening would be cool new features.
Aalric
People's faces change with time, they grow beards, change their hairstyles, etc.
So I definately think it would be a great idea for a face & hair changer. Besides, it's also a gold sink.
Now, if Anet would only add a few more faces with beards...(for the men, of course)
