I apologise in advance if this has come up in another thread.

Suppose I create a new GW:F RP character on a linked account. At some point, based on what we've heard so far, this character can travel to LA in Tyria. Hmmm...How does this character get to the desert area? Go through the low level missions? Does he/she need to re-ascend to get to Droknar's? For that matter, how about Ascalon City? Go backwards through the missions?

The question also relates to how linked GW:P characters will get around in Cantha...

/speculative at this point of course.

-I think they willl use LA as the middle hub to connect both areas.(Canthan would have a mid city too then. w/ a ship dock)
-If Canthans want to redo Tyria missions and quests, they would simply play through normally
from LA. Either go forward or go backwards to the ascalon start areas.
-The only way to go to the desert would (like normally) be completing Sactum cay.(and to bypass the desert. a droks run.)
-and o yeah. Canthans would probably need to ascend as well. as Tyrians would. before you get
to travel to the other side.
-I also believe that, it was mentioned that there will be a connection to integrate the storyline. so either way you started from, if you wanted to go to the other side. It should/would make sense.

/g'day.

I know it's speculative...but unless they make changes to Tyria things will be very odd...

If the only way to get from A to B was by running a mission, you can't go 'backwards' currently. This applies to ascending itself, of course.

One solution would be to give a Canthan player a free revealed map, but that would be a bit of a cop-out.
