i got err7 and was able to log back in, but whenever i try and load a map it says something about network or server failure, i came here and saw almost 3000 people on, so is guildwars down?

I err7'd too, but just decided to log out. Not everyone got dropped though so Guild Wars is up, but login might be down or something.

yeah some other guys are getting it also but on certain maps, i can log in and everything, but it wont load maps and gives me err5.

My guild wars loads, and then it gets stuck at the "connecting" screen after the character choosings, and just freezes, and then i have to close it manualy. Strange.

I think its just some places...
My necro and monk are in Drok's, and get err5 when I try to load Drok's.
My warrior is at Warcamp, no problems getting in there.

I can log in, pick my character, then when I pick one, it tries to load the area and can't get past 0% Connecting. That error message pops up after a minute or two.

To the OP, and the rest, you are not alone. I too am having the same problem, and at first thought it may have been a problem with my firewall settings, checked on that and tried to log on again to have the same code=005.

It must be a problem with Anet's servers.

I am glad that I am not the only one its happening to. I hope they fix the problem soon.

I was able to log on with my ranger who is in Lions Arch with no problem, but when I log in with my necro who is in ToPK, the screen freezes for a bit, then I get the code=005 message as posted above.

Yeah it's only certain maps. War Camp is fine I know, but Citadel and Gates of Kryta are down. I try to load them up and it just err5's.

it seems its only europe servers by my mates im europe i ahve this problem. my america amtes have no issues i hope this helps

I'm having problems too, can't log in with my Ranger to Tombs, and can't get out of Ventari's Refuge with my Warrior aswell as Droknars not loading either :/

Nope American servers are having the problems too... Its not every area, but plenty of them are still down.

RA won't work.

augury rock is ok. Haven't bothered checking the rest though, been to busy reading stuff anticipating the new skillrebalance... can't wait to see eles get a bigger buff, especially water...

Anet better have disconnected me for the skill update. That would definitely make it worth it.

Its back again, it lets you login and then loads the town you are in but cannot go to nother town or go outside of a town.

lol was in hero's ascent at the time this was happening, and it seems that half the players on every team got disconnected. Seemed that every battle was just a bunch of henchies fighting each other.

i had the same problem - we decided to do sf run and i wasnt able to leave warcamp... got err 5 3 or 4 times in the row, but i was able to zone in desert - then i decided to bring my mesmer to warcamp - and i wasnt able to log on with mesmer...

P.S. that was 1st time i had to deal with GW customer support and i was surprized it was so prompt
