Obviously I need an analysis of which one of these two makes the most money. Personally, I believe that running, while being less fun, makes more money than farming. However, I'd like to see how you people make your money and what you consider the pros and cons of each one.

Thank you come again

You're a Warrior/X. Do both depending on your mood at the time.

If you know where the highest areas of demand are for runners. And you offer a fair price for the distance of the run. You can make a steady income of gold. But if your more the type that prefers to do something interesting try farming.

running may be more profitable at times... but you also have to deal with scammers and may not get paid at all!

farming is more luck imo... if your able to find a perfect weapon or salvage perfect upgrades from weapons... you may be able to make more gold

I'd say farming from personal experience. The amount of money you make running directly correlates to the amount of customers you can run in a given timeframe. With a decent farming spot you can make a more consistent income and the only thing that stops you from farming is yourself. Without customers a runner has nothing. With a Warrior either Talus Chute Mountain Trolls or Elona Reach Minotaurs are going to be your best spots for a pure gold income. The thing you have to remember is that farming for gold coin is more consistent than farming for rares. Both runs make around 750-1000 gold for a 5-10 minute investment of time depending on how fast your build is. The best tip I can give is to identify everything regardless of what color it is. Most drops will be around 55 gold unidentified but by identifying them the average value goes up to just under 70 gold. Also you will run across plenty of 'Precious' blue items worth over 100 gold.

I make 125 - 150k in a 10 hr farming day on the weekend with a 55 in Droknar. Runners can make an easy 200-250k in the same amount of time in droknar, shiverpeakes, and sanctum cay, elona missions. Thats if everyone pays obviously. and farming that doesn't include gold from runes, rare drops and wood.
Honestly farming as about how hard to push your limits that maximize your profits.

running = consistent money, though you cant go whenver you like, but only when you have customers

farming = inconsistent, but you can go whenever with the possibility of having huge payouts

you decide

With a steady stream of customers, I'd say that running is far more profitable than farming. I have a friend who's an officer in LBSRA. The profit he makes from running is HUGE. Much more than any farming trips that I or anyone I know had.

Overall, I think running is a much better stream of income as long as you know where to find honest customers.

you decide Shouldn't it be the other way around? Farming is the most consistent way to earn money. Every single Troll farm, Griffin farm, UW farm, Hydra farm, etc. will yield an average amount of gold. People farm for the gold/money/merchant crap which are always dropping at a consistent rate. Rare gold weapons are just icing on the cake.

Running on the other hand is very inconsistent. You need a steady flow of customers and you need to make sure they pay you. You also need to worry about competition.

If you make a monk or a necro and duo the UW you'll make a lot more money than running. I use to do droks running @ 3k per person, 3x5 = 15k. Which two ectos will make that up in one UW run. Sometimes you may only get one ecto though. And duo runs are a lot faster than droks. So...its up to you, sometimes I do runs and sometimes I do smite runs, I prefer farming though.

SB Monk Grotto runner makes big money. Start at Forge and spam that you're running to grotto for 10k. By the end of the trip, you have 70k
