Saidra *warning: storyline spoilers*

in that mission where you rescue Evennia and her lover Saidra (i believe Thunderhead Keep?) ...
anyone tried keeping Saidra alive (heal or protection), and killing the Mursaat before she is killed?
that would be a really fun thing to try.
if you do it... post a screenie!

Saidra isn't the lover of Evennia, Evennia is the leader of the Sacred Blade, and Saidra is a very loyal follower.
Helios
very loyal

I'd like to see results if anyone managed to.

Well, it's not quite the same, but on the Ring of Fire mission, I got the mursaat to aggro me and wiped them out with my party instead of chasing the dwarf...
And all alone, without any Mursaat or any other monster around him, the dwarf goes, "For the Great Dwarf!" and instantly dies without provocation...
I would imagine Saidra is like that.

Maybe I'm too slow, but whenever I tried, by the time I got into healing range, she already took Spectral Agony and died - and casting animation even started
Big Fat Duck
you should cast that thing where you cant lose more than 10% of your health

I would actually like to see Saidra alive again in the Addon! I just hate it when characters get killed as stupid plot devices!

Anyway, back on topic. Waay back when I did the mission for the very first time, Saidra actually managed to survive on her own. We left her behind like were were supposed to, but I was watching Saidra's health bar, and it shot up and down for several minutes as she fought valiantly... until she finally managed to defeat everything around her. Then she just stood there. I guess nobody bothered to use Spectral Agony on her.
Since it was my first time, I was soo confused at the end with Evennia's speech and everything. I was like "Huh? But... but, she's not dead! Why did we just jump on the boat and leave her behind!?! How could you abandon your lover like that Evennia!? That's too cruel!"
Mister Pie
Hahahaha. Evennia and her lover. That's classic.

Actually, I have managed to keep Saidra alive, and kill the Mursaat. The only problem is that Anet expected people to try that.
If you manage to keep Saidra's HP up, she just completely disappears after about 5 seconds (she runs across a specific point and then poof).
I've managed to keep her alive before, and she just completely disappears. No death, no nothing, just gone when she runs back towards the "exit path" your team is supposed to take. I've done the Mission several times, and every time she just disappears.
