When did they change the pre-sear bee quest?

It used to be that to finish the Poor Tenant quest you just had to carry the honeycomb across the bridge. Last week I started a new character and now the quest has been changed that you have to gather up three bee swarms and then take them all across the bridge.

Wonder why they changed it and when?

I have played GW since it first came out and i have never seen that Poor Tenant is a "bee-less" quest, they have allways been there from my knowllage. carry the comb and lure the 3 swarms to it then over the bridge. Allways!

Its always been like that. (having to gather the 3 swarms)

You just never have to worry about the bee swarms, because if you are heading towards the bridge the bee swarms automatically follow you. Has that fact changed?

There is one swarm that occasionally gets stuck. That one is close to the water. It is still the same quest, where you have to learn how to pick up something, carry it, lure bees and drop it again.

Methinks some people just never actually read the quest text.

You're right, I didn't ever read the quest, but I can tell you for sure that on the many characters I have gone through pre searing with, until now I only ever just went up and grabbed the honeycomb and started going back to the bridge. This time I actually had to detour down by the shell and past the bridge and actively gather up the swarms. I never had to do that before. Maybe I when I grabbed it I was just close enough that they came and didn't realize it?

Yeah, I always just picked up the honeycomb and ran across the bridge. I never had to gather different swarms.

First time I did it, just after release, I had to gether the swarms. All 5 times since then I haven't: I think sometimes the bees random movements favourabley positions them, sometimes it doesn't and you have to run about a tiny bit... such is life

Ahh the quest that teaches future warriors what their role will be in the fight.

It is called a "bad spawn", just like sometimes you get bad spawn points for enemies you get them for the bees sometimes too.

I've had a swarm get stuck a time or two, first time it happened I was confused. Took the hive, had bees around me but no quest complete. Finally noticed the one dot on the rador for the other bees and it made sense.

once i did it and the one swarm didnt follow and it took me a few minutes to figure out why I couldnt complete the quest (i didnt read the quest info). NEVER have I had a problem since, one little dip towards the river and all 3 swarms come a runnin. but... its ALWAYS been the same quest.

personally i think this is the quest that is bugging all held items to draw monster aggro.

I agree. The first time I ran this it was quite a bear as I couldnt seem to attract 1 swarm. After that I have had better luck with my spawns.
