Tatoo dye question

I recently saw an image of a monk with tatoos and their inventory window open with another set of tattoos in it. Now the thing i found interesting was that the icons for the tatoos were dyed 2 different colors, one for each set of tatoos they wore, so the parchement color on one set was blue for instance.

Now I've dyed my tatoo armor and the parchment has stayed the basic parchment color for the icons in my inventory. HOW did they dye the icons themselves?

Wish I could find the image to show people.

What you saw was an old screenshot. It's been a few months back, but they "improved" certain things in the UI. It was in the same update as the darkening of the UI background, and clarifying certain weapon mod descriptions (such as "Improves skill recharge" to "Halves skill recharge").

UI Background Before:

UI Background After:

Anyway, along with that update, they changed the icon appearance of many armor types, including Ascetic's armor - removing the dye color from the parchment it's shown on. Now instead, it only (barely) shows the color on the tatoo itself. And yes, that annoys the hell out of me also, as I have two different 15K Ascetic types, one for my 55 build, one for my normal healing build. I made a post about this somewhere in the Riverside Inn right after this happened, here is the link:

Hope this helps a bit.

The body pieces will change color, but not the head piece (which it used to but doesn't anymore and is frustrating)

I have mine dyed purple and the tats icons are now green.

Thanks that helps immensely. It is a pity that they removed the tint to the parchment as it would make swapping armor easy and seeing as they do not have an armor swap function yet (and who knows if they ever will) it was a nice feature.

One thing i noticed in your screenshots compared to that screenshot i saw was that only the black part of the tatoo graphic changed when dyed (on the necro scars) but in the screenshot I saw the tan parchment color was totally blue (as they had dyed their tatoos blue)....and then I check lower in your posted thread and that guy Zenchen has the same thing I'm talking about. /sigh
