Skip scene problem
J3mo
Everyone knows the feeling when u do something what takes an hour for nothing.
Well I was monking in Ring of Fire to cap Aura of Faith, the boss was the last mob we had to kill, and i was like yay when he died because it took like 4min.
And then.... boom boss dead.. skipscene
I couldnt even cap it, thats just gay.

Could you elaborate on what actually happened?
Was that the Monk Mursaat on the bridge? Or did he spawn after the party had gone through the Doorway?

I believe that is the boss at the end of the mission. Frustrating situation that occurs in other missions at times. In this case, the solution is to leave the 3 mursaat until after you kill the boss.

They have a few problems like this through the game:
Thirsty River - Most will do the monk boss last and if you don't kill him before something else, no cap, straight to end scene
Ring of Fire - As described above
Tombs - Too short a time period on the countdown to collect greens or other drops, especially if people are dead.
At least on tombs, they should have made it so that you are forced to map out, like UW or FoW or give an "unclaimed items" screen upon forced exit.

I think that the Iron Mines of Moladune had that problem as well. Rangers couldn't cap Barrage from Markis.
A-net changed the time for that missions End Scene to allow the cap to happen. They could do it for the other missions as well. Send them a bug report in addition to posting in the forums.

All elites are the same in the three desert missions, and all are available in all three, every time. It's much easier to cap WoH in Elona. If you insist on capping in Thirsty, then again, work with your team to take the boss down before killing all of his henchgoons. That was a real problem, a real annoyance. Fortunately, they fixed it, at least two weeks ago. Tombs now has an Unclaimed Items screen upon exit. |
I wasn't aware they fixed tombs. I hadn't done it in a while, and hadn't seen a commotion on the boards about it. I went to tombs a couple times last night but the team wiped at the beginning of the last stage. Good to know.

They changed the timing of the End Scene for Iron Mines?
Usually what I do is have all warrriors(players) change to ranged attacks(or give them a timeout) so they don't activate the 4 jades. That takes a bit more time, however that give the ranger(s) in my group time to cap barrage and then the warriors could go back to smashing things.

Some people are offended by the use of the word "gay" like that. |
The tombs cap thing is nice though, i havent notices as i rarely go down there.
